TOPIC: [SSRP STAFF] How-To Punish (WIP)

Welcome, this is a How-to guide on punishing rule-breakers,

Random DeathMatch (RDM):

RDMx1 = Warn/Slay
RDMx2 = Warn
RDMx3 = Kick
RDMx4 = Kick/Ban
RDMx5+ = Ban+


New Life Rule (NLR):
NLRx1 = Warn + /Backspawn
NLRx2 = Warn/Kick
NLRx3+ = Kick


Prop Abuse(Prop push, kill, surf, etc...)
Prop Push: Warn
Prop Push 2+: Warn/Kick
Prop Surf:Warn
Prop Surf 2+: Warn/Kick
Prop Kill: Warn
Prop Kill 2+: Kick/ Ban

Mass Prop Abuse:Ban


Job Abuse:
Job Abusex1: Warn
Job Abusex2: Job Demote + Warn
Job abusex3: Job Demote + Job Ban


Illegal(Against the rules) Base:
Illegal Basex1: Verbal Warning/Fix
Illegal Basex2: Warn
Illegal Basex3: Kick


Client Side Modification (hacking)
Hackingx1: Warn/Kick
Hackingx2:Kick/ Ban
Hackingx3: Ban+


Loopholing
Loopholing: Verbal Warning
Loopholingx2: Warn
Loopholingx3: Kick/ Ban



Requirement when punishing.

1. Always question both sides, make sure you understand both sides of the story.
2. Always ask for proof unless it is clear in the logs.
3. Never hesitate to ask for help from another staff member!
4. Make sure that the person you are punishing understands what rule he broke, If he does not; Explain further more so this does not happen again.
5. Always be calm, Never break and respect the victim and the accuser.
6. Never instantly warn someone. Always gather enough Information.
7. Try to punish using the SteamID otherwise it may cause trouble.
8. When teleporting someone, Make sure you do not teleport more than one person.
9. When in need of a Ban+; Take a picture of the rulebreakers SteamID and gather enough Proof.
10. Try your best to help people, Even when not on duty.

Moderator's and admins can punish players how they want.

However this is a nice guide that could help new moderators.

Nah, I won't be using this as I'm just a great guy who goes by my gut

I'd say this is for fair punishment, Rather than Banning a person for NLR.

The only time I've ever kicked anybody was when there was a mass rdmer and i was a mod and there was no admins on

I won't be using this, but it could be a nice reference to new mods/admins learning which punishments to give out.
Btw: you want to ban if they're hacking. Not warn them.

As i say and some other higher-ups, Give everyone a chance. Hence that i started everything with a Warn.

I think this should be punned, this great information for new admins/mods

Nice guide but I think some staff will punish people differently depending on the mood they are in and if the person has done this before in the past but the punishment is up to the staff member so they can follow this guide or run on there own ways of dealing with it,
Also it is a warn for hacking and if they don't turn it off then it is a ban because hacks ruin rp.

Thanks for making this thread, how ever dispite your good intentions it will cause more harm then good. As stated above staff are allowed to issue punishments how they see fit based off the situation. This thread will only confuse people applying for staff/newer staff memebers. Who might asume that this is how they should always punish someone. So sorry but I will be closing this thread.
