TOPIC: TTT Staff Question

Since day 1, I was told that punishments are for you to decide, which was fine by me I did as I did.

Then a few weeks later, I was told I was too strict, and theres an ethos which was never made its way towards me from any higher up staff members or when being trained, so I said fair enough, and was less strict

I have now been told that I am still too strict for giving a guy who killed 3-4 people 3 slays for MASS RDM. That's the highest I go too, and it's only with that punishment, everything is is still 1 slay like I've been instructed.

So it's 1 slay for no matter how many things they do in the round now or something?

I've been doing 1 slay per rule broken.

So for example:

3-4 RDM's = 3 slays + warn for MASS RDM

1 RDM = 1 slay + warn for RDM

1 MICSPAM and 1 LTAP = 1 slays +warn MICSPAM+LTAP

Can someone please clear this up? I'm fed up of being misinformed and then getting in trouble for me not being told something.

LTAP is usually a ban because they are leaving to avoid their punishment for example player x recieved a mute so he left and rejoined to avoid it please correct me if im wrong.

I explained my story in game already on how to follow the EThos something you haven't been doing and you been asked multiple times to start following it and you simply are not doing it.

I haven't? Sorry but you have not seen me been active. You just started playing and got mod. I've cooled down my punishments a LOT. They used to be 3 for everything other than chatspam/disrespect. Now they're always 1 other than this one?

As dicussed last week. you should calm down on the slays and you said you would just really disapointed to see you haven't , slaying some one for 3 rounds is basically putting them out of commision for more then 10 minutes . Yeah if i got slayed for 3 rounds i would leave as well i dont blame the user for leaving. in this case

If a guy does Mass RDM, slay him for one round then warn him for 'Mass RDM', if the behavior continues then you do have the power to kick them off the server since they are not learning from their rule breaks and try provide evidence for the admins so they can take further actions if their behavior continues.

If someone was mic spamming, don't slay them, just use gag/mute depending on what they are using to spam. Slaying someone for spamming is a unusual punishment in my opinion and it kind of doesn't follow the staff ethos.

I don't know if you're struggling with your duty but if you are, please do ask for help so you can learn as you go on. Those being anyone from the TTT staff team.

Punishments should be kept minimal as possible, otherwise they will just cause players to just move on to another server, which we don't want to happen.

Which is a basic, fundamental rule of the actual gamemode TTT. If they accidentally shoot someone, I don't slay them for that, if they cancel a report, I do not slay or warn them.

I have toned them down a lot, just because YOU have not seen it, does not mean I have not been doing it.

I do not slay for micspam, I know it sounded like that in the post, but it was for the LTAP the slay was.(it was also supposed to be 1 slay, not 2 for that 1 ) Sorry for that typo/mistake, It was just my quick thinking of a broken rule etc.
