To everyone who wants to apply for staff.

Disclaimer: I am not writing this topic as a rant about staff members, i am simply writing this as a guide what to expect when you get your moderator position, this topic is mainly focused on SSRP.
ZARP gets a lot of moderator requests every week and everyone applies to help out the server. All new moderators don't really know the situations they will have to deal with and how to deal with them when they get their rank and this is alright you are new you are expected to make a mistake from time to time and you should not be afraid to ask another staff member for help as you are a team and need to stay as a team.
As a moderator it is expected from you to do as many f1's as possible this does not mean that you have to quit RPing but it will take away a lot of your RP time now if you are thinking of applying for mod keep this in mind it will take time away from your normal gameplay so if you are not ready to commit time to make f1's don't apply lead team members will keep track of how many f1's you do.
Moderators get limited powers as it should be you will have to navigate yourself true the TAB menu to mute/ freeze /teleport /bring /slay a player you can also do all thees command via chat but it is strongly recommended that you use their steam id just in case so you don't teleport or even worse slay a wrong player, i personally found the tab menu being extremely difficult to work with specially when there is a lot of players on the server.
Logs cant be used as proof no matter how much you personally believe that a player broke a rule if you did not see him break a rule you can not punish him unless the player who reported him has a solid and a legitimate proof. You can use logs as proof for situations like a Citizen killing someone with a big gun.
Dealing with toxic players. As a new mod some players who get accused of breaking the rule will scream and yell and scream and yell at you that you are in the wrong and your going to get demoted now this f1's are going to be a pain in the ass for new moderators best thing you can do when dealing with a toxic player is to verbally warn them and if they continue to scream at you mute them and ask them to type there answer to you. Situations like this will make you reconsider being a mod but keep in mind that players who are toxic are usually known rule breakers.
Players loopholing. You will have to deal with some players who will break rules and the claim there is no rule against it, now as member of a staff you need to know all the rules anyway so when a player is screaming at you just know that you have the final word and if you are unsure you can ask for another opinion in the admin chat.
Large f1's when there is multiple players involved in a situation tire to keep the sit in the smallest number possible you will save yourself a headache it is not fun to listen to 2 players yelling at each other and believe me it's even less fun to listen to 5 players yelling.
Moderators are not able to ban someone but you sure can warn them and if you need to give out a hard punishment ask for admin assistance in chat if you are the only staff member online first give the player a warning if you see them doing the same thing again you will have to warn them again the third warn they will get kicked usually a troll will not reconnect after a kick in case he does reconnect pay careful attention to what he is doing and if he breaks another rule its a automatic temp ban dealing with players in this situation is going to be hard as you are limited in your powers but it is possible.
Players who are prop spamming as a moderator when you are the only one online you will find it hard to deal with the situation best option is to teleport to them and ask them to remove the props blocking the area if they refuse you will have to warn them and kick them from the server if the blocked are is for example spawn.
Understand that before you apply for mod you will have to face all the above at one point and will have to deal with it, if you are brave and strong enough fell free to apply for moderator you will face situations that will be stressful and annoying.
Respect to all the active staff members who deal with this situations on a daily basis and do not get anything in return.
Note: Please don't discuss about staff members who you don't like in this thread this is simply a heads up to all who want to apply for a staff member.
