TOPIC: [SSRP] New mine concept

This is a concept not really a suggestion:

In this mine there would be npcs that spawn and attack the player, the npcs would not spawn immidietly next to the mine but instead from a gateway and would have too walk down a tunnel to attack the miner (slow spawn rate w/ a cap). I also suggest that the npcs have a way to slowly destroy props via a standard weapon ( non explosive) or just mele. If no one is in the ine they jsut patrol the mine and dont leave it,

Maybe its zombies?
Maybe its gencorp employees coming through some technology device? (lore)
Maybe players can go mutant and be on the same team as them?
either way there should be a level of challenge to it


Also in this mineing area events could trigger such as a mining event that spawns a new rock for a limited time that gives a rare material at a % chance or 2-3x normal materials. Or a boss event where a boss comes through the portal and drops l00t. or an event where players can go through the portal and fight them off at the source for cases/loot

I can elaborate if people dont understand but again this is just a concept that would get rid of afk mining and add more content to the server, along with giving players more things to do ( kill npcs).

I know I said that the npcs should have a way to destroy props. you are like oh but this could be abused people could bait them out and have them attack a base- well that would be cool and a new way to raid

Im not to sure this will work because this is to in-depth and if it is only in the mines then it will look a little off place

Good idea to stop AFK miners, but would be difficult to code and would feel out of place.

It sounds like a good idea to stop the AFKers but I think it's takes more effort than it's worth just to mine. Mining is one of the only ways of making legal money, why make it harder for people to participate in legal activities, anyways nice detailed thread.

No offence but this a terrible Idea, its so mingey, I feel like hits are the only thing that stops AFK mining lol, it kinda works with the whole hit protection upgrade

In my opinion i think this shouldn't be added i know the crazy thing with someone having like 5 alt's AFK mining which is crazy but like Brandify said it one of the only ways to make legal money that you can't get arrested for.
