TOPIC: [Server Suggestion] Rust

Suggestion Title:
RUST PVP Server

How would it benefit the community:
It was quite a while ago, we had a rust server for the legacy client. It was so fun killing people that you know, loot them, build trust with other people or even make clans and raid together and be the "King" of the server. And since a lot of servers are being added/renewed i think it would be a great opportunity to suggest this. The legacy rust was always quite populated and people were having fun.

Potential Issues/Exploits:
None that i can think of.

Well we would need a DEV first. But if they want we can make a rust server.

The problem is that last time there was a rust server it didn't work out and I'm not seeing the demand right now . It also needs a developer .

I think it would be nice to see a Zarp Battle royal server, don't know how well it'll go though.

Again, the lead teams hands are full at the moment considering the 1v1 server.

We had players, even teams who were raiding eachother. It was fun.

i love both rust and ark a lot and im willing to work as a lead team member on setting the server up . just dont ask me anything to develop LOL

In my honest opinion, I feel we need to continue bettering out current servers and improve them even more so and stop putting out server after server. With Minigames underway, CSGO 1V1 just getting players and suggestions, and of course all of the other servers that need to be managed, we really need to wait a bit in my opinion before we get another server.

Even with a developer a rust server is just to big to get popular with many already popular servers out there that have a dedicated TEAM of staff. Rust is fun for 20mins then you realise there is only 20 people on the server and 16 of them are hidden in rocks and the others are far as hell away from you. I honestly got a giant head ache from the last rust server I harassed EMP for a whole week to set the server up back when I was CM and then pink did some shit to it and it never got any popular than the 6 people that played and that was back when the game was fairly new. I'm usually good with suggestions but like the ARK suggestion it's to big for a large gmod community. Maybe in a year or two when we get bigger and more resources it will be a good idea but until then I'd say no.

Edit: This is also the wrong time of the year to be realising such committed servers because people are at school and work. In the summer there is more than double the people on and can maintain such servers.

So i've had this idea for a long time. Sadly my time is limited atm so i can't develop a server myself

Either way if someone would be intressed the idea is to make a tiny battlefield server. It's very few of those and they're underrated but yet they're popular. As the map is tiny you would find people alot and the server itself would be used to practice aiming.

You spawn with guns and the point is to kill others. It may sound wierd but it's really enjoyable believe or not. Try yourself.
