TOPIC: [SSRP] Freeze Command Suggestion

How would it benefit the server: As we know moderators can't jail people but there is the freeze where you can set the time just like a jail. If they are not allowed to punish with freeze why is it there? It would benefit by making a type of that command that mods are not allowed to use not even able to use. It is hard for moderators to get people who are runing because they can't use there phys gun but to make them select the freeze time even that is slowing them down. Lots of people might don't know that they can't punish with freeze.

i use it if someone is breaking NLR i freeze them in spawn for 1 minute

I believe you are confused with the command, Freeze is meant to help with sits and every day staff situations in which you need to make a player still to explain a rule or whatever it may be. Freeze has never been intended as a punishment and shouldn't be.

I don't see why this is needed. I don't see the issue with someone using it if the situation calls for it, such as freezing a user for five minutes to make sure they read the rules during that time. On the other hand I don't see many situations where this is needed. As far as freezing someone for breaking NLR goes it just seems like a lazy solution, if you explain stuff to the users the way you should they wont break the rules again unless they simply don't care about following them in the first place. Another good reason for them to have it is if they tend to forget to unfreeze people at times, this way users don't stay frozen for a large amount of time whilst waiting for someone to unfreeze them.

The important thing when punishing a user is to make sure your punishment is as effective as possible and fair at the same time. If your punishment isn't effective in stopping the user from breaking rules again or not fair towards the user you should rethink how you handle situations. This is why users must be told what they did wrong as to make sure that if they care about following the rules they wont do it again.

Take a new user as an example of this, the user comes on and finds a gun then shoots a random person not knowing that it's a rule break. Simply warning the user for RDM wont really be effective since the user doesn't understand the reason behind the warning, you need to explain how things work.

Now, how effective is simply freezing a user when they break NLR instead of explaining the rule they broke, how they broke it and how to follow it. In this case tell them about the districts and how they work and then provide them with a link to the rules and the maps of the districts on both servers.

I usually like your suggestions and ideas but this one is a little crazy. How hard is it for you to not punish someone with the freeze command ? All it takes is for you to not press it and baaaam you're good. I'm also not sure who told you that you can't use it?? If someone is a damn minge and a 2 min freeze seems more worth than a warning then I'd say it's fine.

Its unnecessary. When you go to freeze someone it asks you how long you want to do this for. So even then you should notice

I personally think jail should be removed
Just warn, kick and bam should suffice
Jailing is just plain mingy
