[SSRP] Changing the NLR rule! 9 years 6 months ago #271515

Server Name: SSRP 1 and SSRP 2

Suggestion Title: Changing the NLR rule

How would it benefit the server: Let me give you an example

player X killed player Y
Player Y can go back but not talk or interfere with anything going on in that district

This would allow players who got RDM'd to go to the house they were going to build in or just run past their NLR zone without getting warned EVEN though you haven't done anything in that district that would ruin the interfere with someone else RP

Potential Issues/Exploits: People in ts3 could give info [Meta gaming / NLR] Some may take SSRP very serious and don't want to see a guy they just killed run past.

Additional notes: Other than that I think that this could be good but the TS3 part is a big downside but it helps if you want to go past that district to another place! e.g you got killed at the banker NPC [SSRP 1] and you are at the PD and you want to go to the fountain quickly (an event is going on there or something) instead of going ALL THE WAY BACK TO SPAWN AND TO THE FOUNTAIN you can just walk through the NLR, NOT INTERFERE and go to the fountain faster.

There is a reason that we have the NLR system we have. Its to avoid people running back... There would be no point of having a NLR rule if people were allowed to run back. I doubt this will be changed

If this was added it would make it easier for people to break NLR, and go back to a base that has been raided. Also it wold make the rules more confusing for users. Overall this really isn't a good idea, just making the server confusing.

This will just add alot of confusion, along with the fact that the rule is fine as it is.

That could bug out if you got the in there.and would cause cops not being able to break nlr at pd or during vault Raid.

btw NLR is meant to be that you dont remember anything of what happened , so going to that district would break it at first

and what meant in NLR isnt just you cant go back only , you cant tell anyone what happened to you and how you died what you had what you did , or where is your base or plans in that moment you died , so basically play HL2RP and you understand meaning of Real NLR (10 minutes NLR . you cant get or remember anything of what happened ICly / OOCly)

understand ?

The 1st point is kinda contradicting since IMO going to a district you previously died in is not NLR since you didn't interfere but for zarp it is NLR to go back where you died even if you haven't even done anything in that district.

I see what you mean, if you for an example got killed by an hitman near armor npc you would still be allowed to go back and get armor without interacting with the hitman.

The problem about this is tho that if your base is being raided and you come back it can cause confusion if they actually died and would cause more problems than fixing.

Imagine that you are raiding a base, and you kill the owner of the base. When you are lockpicking the door, you realise that he is back, and you cannot know whether he is gonna kill you or not. He might be a rulebreaker, or he might just go away from there and claim his car.

That was a simple example, it might be wrong for you. However, there are many examples like that and I am afraid that it will not only confuse the raiders' minds, it will also cause more complicated situations.

For that reason, :minussp:
