Suggestion Title:

Nerf the Snipers / Buff the other weapons.

How would it benefit the server:

Tell me the last time you saw someone (except for a noob or someone screwing around) using something else than a sniper, like a Dragunov or PSG. The rare weapons that are sometimes used are the M249 and the SPAS-12. It got so against logic that people started using snipers at point-blank range instead of shotguns or assault rifles. Enough said, there is a clear balance issue, especially with the scope upgrade.

The solution for this balance issue could be lowering the rate of fire on the snipers, and buffing the damage for most of the other weapons.

I'm aware people who love snipers a bit too much will attack me on this thread and call me and my suggestion idiotic or something.

Just no, the PSG got nerfed not a long time ago, i feel the svu is fine and normal as in real life, this will affect loads of people. People get mad because they cant use it, its semi serious rp. Not serious, get better or just use a different gun a weapon wont stop you, nerfing will just be more ridiculous because more people wanna use it, nerfing it probably will, and will not make any difference

I think when it comes to nerfing snipers, they have to code it so ONLY when you scope you can shoot!
I mean, its a SSRP server, but forcing people to scope make them use their sniper like they would irl!!

It's the scope boost that makes them OP which it should as its costs soooo much to buy/craft one

I think they should nerf snipers a little but not much

Idk low skill weapons will always be popular.

I like how it is now, although i wouldn't mind some machine guns getting buffed, as some of them are totally useless. But, i like how snipers take more skill, and are harder to use than most Machine guns, but therefore are higher reward (Can get 1 shot).

Therefore,

I agree that the weapons are extremely unbalanced... And i am gonna take it on my hands to go check every single weapon one by one. And try to make it as balanced as possible. Ofcourse some weapons will always be stronger than others , but i will try my best to make sure that there is bigger pool of what weapons people would actually choose instead of just using PSG, and drag's

this. if snipers where only allowed to shoot when scoped i think it would be a great nurf instead of reducing damage or rate of fire.

A guy with a scope boost fighting another guy with scope boost takes skill and effort. Ak47 and such weapons takes no skill as you hold down a button and there is a preaim sight so you center shots more easy.

Yes there is a console command for snipers but it's really not as efficient...

yes pre aim with a gun which take at least a whole mag and a half to kill someone and that's if all the bullets hit

I think the snipers should still be the best however we need a bigger weapon pool

Snipers require little skill because they're a 1 hit kill unless the other player had full armor, and even then it's 2 hits. In such an environment, it's more reaction time than skill, and when you factor in the lag that's present at peak teams, it's basically who has the better latency.
