Suggestion Title: Nerfing thundergun

How would it benefit the server: Play more fair

Potential Issues/Exploits: None as it would make the game equal to everyone.

Additional notes:

So i know there have been made alot of posts about the thundergun, it's cheap as hell and you rarley lose one if you are careful. The gun itself fits the roleplay decently however the fact that you can spray thundergun shots just makes it close to impossible to counter especially if you're on drugs running around like a maniac.

As a defender you're risking alot on the table such as printers. The raiders rarley lose anything and they only risk losing the actual gun itself if they're inexperienced with it.

To create a solution to this factor i've thought about many things however these options are the more rewarding:

- Increase the cost - As you maybe know, 5m is really easy to obtain these days and the blueprint itself is available for about 1m~. I believe the more efficient and simple way to nerf it is to make it cost 10-20m to craft. Users would have to be more careful with the gun and if they lose it to often they would end up getting broke.

- Recharge timer - For every shot you would shot would make you vulnerable as it would take approximately 6 seconds before you could shot another shot. This would put more strategy where you decide to fire your weapon. When it's on cooldown it would say in chat if you're trying to fire again that it's on cooldown for X ammount of seconds. It would also be more realistic beacuse a weapon with that much firepower needs to be recharged in that shape it it currently holding. Example:

Thundergun is on cooldown for additional (1 + X Seconds)

- Screenflipping removed - The most annoying feeling is when you get shot by thundergun but the owner of it can't aim with it and misses you however since you're nearby it. It flips your screen 180 degrees and since they can shot another shot 0.5 seconds later you have no chance of turning and killing them before you're dead. I believe the recharge timer would make up for this as you would get time to react to what happened and not just get shredded.

- Moving slower - As you're carrying on a big and heavy thundergun you should not be able to run as fast as Sonic. I believe you should run 70% of your current speed and the speed drug should not be available to consume within the time you have the gun in your hand. This might be a bit advanced but it's another thing that makes up for realism and gameplay at the same time.

I've spoken to serval people about these changes and i think it's a great addition to the servers. When it comes to weapons such as gluon gun i'm completley fine with that since not too many people can afford it. About every special weapon has it's own weakness but thundergun doesn't. And that's what makes it constantly used.

The Thundergun has been nerfed enough as it is, currently I find it very balanced and easy to defend against.

Imba explosives have completely ruined basing. It's now impossible for small 1-2 man bases made by new players to be successful because of how overpowered the tools the raiders have. Such tools have limited the buildings that are viable to build a base in to such an extent that even entire maps are invalidated because of them.

But hey, that's just my two cents. I'll go not contribute to the community some more :sick:

Well i've not been aware of the recent nerfs. It would be amazing to let everone know about balances and changes. Anyways i strongly believe that damage wasn't the problem, i'd say how you can constant shot it and have it holstered by the time you're out of ammo. Or the fact how cheap it actually is!

Cannon evens our the battlefield. When you're holding it you're vulnerable and you can get shot easy. It's also an item that's not obtainable so you will see it less frequent with time.

Well i like to look at is a challenge, the more fire they add the more water we're going to have pull over. In other words more strategy is needed than before. However in current meta it's almost impossible to make a base that counters every element completley and that makes it so simple.

I like how you have taken time and effort into this post, but still, the thundergun is easy to get, effective, but it isn't all good. There are easy ways to kill yourself with it, not to mention that you can sometimes build against it. I agree that the price should be upped to craft it, as I only based for a few hours and got one with money to spare, which is stupid for a weapon that can destroy your whole base sometimes, not to mention how much player damage it does. I also agree with the screen flipping, as there has been many times when I'm trying to counter raid, and my screen just gets tossed around because someone's thundergunning. But, I don't think it should be nerfed, because of the fact that it already has its ups and downs, but its just top cheap.

I don't really care about damage, you should be able to get 1 tapped with that thing, there are other factors that makes this gun really to cross the line. I personally hate how cheap it is and woud love to see that price go up a bit.

It its balanced enough at the moment, hand cannon is the most Over Powered weapon on the server if there is a gun to be nerfed its the Hand Cannon. I don't think its needed because people lose thunderguns super easy from RDM ETC, making it 10-20 mil will make it super expensive even for people with over 100 mil and losing it from someone running you over on the sidewalk or a troll randomly arresting you. The charging up and timer to shoot I can agree on.

Also gmod troller hand cannon makes you vulnerable as you can kill them fairly easy. I've killed loads of people beacuse of that however thundergun is harder to lose and easier to craft. Damage has never been a problem, it's more when you're running around with speed drug and shoting thundergun. It's almost impossible to kill them and doesn't really have a weakness. I've lots of situations and never any good ones against thundergun.
