TOPIC: [Suggestion] Undercover ranks (Primarily TTT)

Suggestion Title: Undercover moderation

How would it benefit the server: This is primarily for the TTT server, I have 0 clue how to play DarkRP or SSRP, but I'm sure this would benefit those servers as well, especially due to their popularity. The idea is, a moderator or an admin or anything gets the chance to turn his rank into an "undercover" moderator, or have it just permanent. It appears as a normal player, so in case an RDMer joins, he'll see that no admins are online, go ahead with RDMing and you'll be like "GOTCHA BITCH!"

Potential Issues/Exploits: The only downside is that people who need help or anything in that sort will also notice that no admins are online and they won't get any help.

Additional notes:The downside can be avoided by making mods or admins have the ability to toggle their undercover rank.

People who think admins / moderators aren't online probably won't use the !report command, and people can just take screenshots / record a video and report the rule-breakers on the forums if there is no staff on.

There is system for this on every server but TTT.

Loyal people to the server will know who the undercover mods or admins are and will still use !report. Plus, in most cases people won't need to use !report, remember, you're moderating undercover, any RDM incidents or incidents worth reporting will already be noticed by you because that's your primary target while undercover, rule breaking incidents.

I don't really know about this, it's a double edged sword. To keep it short I think the users should try to contact staff asap when there are mass rulebreaks going on, we should incite them to add some staffmembers that can come online to stop it. When there are staffmembers on there's no real issue as they'll deal with the rulebreakers immediatly, incognito or not. Having incognito staffmembers will incite others to break rules as they'll feel like there's no one watching them, thus baiting them into rulebreaking, which results in another user's experience being ruined by a rulebreaker. Having a staffmember online with his rank shown creates a safer feeling to 'innocent' users rather than having an incognito one.

This command would bring a lot of abuse at lower ranks, have it for Super Admins and higher as they are the only ones that really need it. In reality if someone wants to break rules they'll do so regardless of the staff tag next to your name or not.

Also ace, good points, especially about the safe feeling of legit players. I suggested this because I thought staff could find at least some use out of this (after all, it is a toggle, you can chose to use it or not) and staff would like to see how their servers behave without them around, be it the player or his rank.

I personally don't like it; agree with the people that are either neutral or against.
