Deathrun Server suggestions
Player skulls when using a microphone
The idea of this suggestion is that when players use their microphones in game and are dead in the blue box in the bottom right corner there will be a little skull or something to symbolise that the player talking is dead or alive. This suggestion is mainly for staff, it will help speed up the process of delivering punishments to people ghosting. This is because when staff members are playing and alive they cant always check the scoreboard. If this idea was implemented then the staff member would be able to look at the bottom right of who's speaking and see who is dead.
How will this benefit the server?
This will benefit the server because it will allow staff members to punish the rule breakers faster and less people will get away with ghosting, if people cant ghost for long periods of time then it will make the common users game experience a lot better.
Potential issues/exploits
I don't see any issues with this adjustment to the game, It does not have an impact on how the game plays. A potential issue that could happen is the icon not showing up sometimes when players are dead.
Clicking on player names
This suggestion includes getting peoples name/steam ID with ease. The idea is that when you press tab to see the scoreboard you can right click on that players name to copy their steam ID or copy their in game name. This can help with banning players and punishing players.
How will it benefit the server?
This suggestion is mainly focused towards staff members, it will help staff members in game to punish players who are rule breaking. For example if two people have similar names you can just copy their name to your clipboard and paste it where its needed. It can also help newer staff members as I have experienced first hand players making mistakes with warning multiple people by typing !war re and there have been multiple people with "re" in their name. It will allow them to just copy their in game name and paste it into their chat box. It can also help warn players who have unique characters in their names. If people cannot type out the name with their keyboard because they do not have the characters then they can use the method suggested. It could also be used to help players in game locate their steam ID if they plan on applying for a staff rank.
Potential issues/exploits
I don't see any issues with this suggestion, it just makes it easier for people to do things, it helps speed up the time taken for staff members to do their jobs.
Auto kicking AFK players
This suggestion is pretty self explanatory, when players are AFK for long periods of time they are usually kicked by a staff member. If deathrun had something similar the bhop servers where AFK players were automaticly kicked for being away, then it would help out the staff team, this is because when there are 30 players on the server and only 1 or 2 staff members online it can be very difficult to play the game, punish players breaking rules and keep and eye on who is AFK and remember how long they are AFK for. It would also mean when the servers are full players who want to join can have the chance when an AFK player has been kicked, if the staff members online do not realise that the player is AFK then it is wasting the available deathrun slots.
How will it benefit the server?
This suggestion will benefit the server because it will help the staff team in meetings when they are reviewing applications, it won't allow players to be AFK for a long time so people cannot join the server and boost their game time. This means the staff team will have an accurate reading on how active they are. It will also help keep the server active and give the chance for new members to join the community, by allowing more players to join when servers are full.
Potential issues/exploits
The only issue that I can think of is that the console might not be able to auto kick players after 4 rounds of inactivity, this can be avoided by having it so they are kicked after 10 minutes of inactivity.
The above suggestions are mainly made to try benefit and help out the staff team.
Death sound effects
This suggestion will work like how the taunt does, except you don't need to press F7, when a player dies it will play automaticly. I'm sure that on that there will be multiple things on the workshop that could be added to this section. It would be added as its own section the the shop like how taunts is. This will help keep the game interesting and give players who have lots of points something extra to spend them on.
How will it benefit the server?
This will benefit the server by giving players something else to buy in the point shop. It could add excitement to the game because it's a new feature, it could even help bring new players to zarp if people like it and tell their friends.
Potential issues/exploits
The main issue I see with this is that if lots of people are on the server and are dying at multiple times then it could be very loud and annoy some players. This could be avoided by lowering the range people can hear the sounds of players dying.
VIP point shop items
On the deathrun servers VIP players are not really rewarded with many new accessories, VIP players receive auras and double points. This suggestion is a VIP exclusive item that can be purchased from the point shop like auras. The idea is that in your left hand you never have anything in it, Your sword is always in the right hand, so why not have something to hold. My initial idea was a briefcase, the briefcase could have pieces of paper falling out of them when the player moves. I currently don't have any more ideas developed for this section but will update it when I think of some more. It will give players something else to spend their points on.
How will it benefit the server?
It will allow players who have VIP to get more out of the deathrun servers. Another reason it might help improve the servers is because having more features for VIP may influence players to purchase VIP making more money to be spent.
Potential issues/exploits
This idea might cause some server lag, or players with lower end PC's might get low fps when being near players who have auras and a briefcase equipped. Finding items to add to this idea might be hard to find. I don't think that there are any other problems.
Deathrun teams
This is the main suggestion that I would love to see implemented. The idea of this suggestion is that it will be similar to SSRP gangs. There will be a menu in game where somebody can create a team and invite players to, then the teams that are created get points by winning rounds ( all the points added to somebody's level up score will also be added to the team points). When the team reaches a certain amount of points they will be able to unlock unique items in the point shop. If a player leaves the team then the score that the player have accumulated for that team will be deducted (this will make it so players don't team hop). This can also help deathrun have more activity on the forums, for example there can be team threads like how there are now ( Like Remastered and Moon Army). These gangs/teams can be implemented in game. There can also be a leader boards for team score. So players who can see who are the top teams.
How will it benefit the server?
I feel like if this idea was developed then a lot more people may start playing deathrun, players may try make teams with their friends and try get other gmod players they know to join their team and play on the server. I really think this idea would help make deathrun a much more popular game mode.
Potential issues/exploits
The main issue I see with this suggestion is creating it, I feel like this may be very complex to create. Teams that are in game may be very unbalanced ( all players trying to join the same team). Other than this I feel like this idea could be very fun.
Current rank system
Currently there are 35 ranks and some players are getting close to hitting the highest. So I've thought of a few new rank titles that could be used for when new ranks are needed.

Removing warnings
So basically I was playing on the server today and tried to unwarn somebody, and found out that if the person is no longer on the server you cannot unwarn them.
How will it benefit the server?
If somebody gets warned for invalid reasons and leaves then you cannot remove the warn, if this happens you might forget about the warning so it won't get removed. If this player then goes to apply for staff he may be denied for having recent warnings when they are not even valid reasons. Also if a player makes an unwarn appeal on the forums it may be accepted but if that player isn't in game then the warn may be forgotten about and not removed.
Potential issues/exploits
If a staff member is about to resign or be demoted they may just removed everyone's warnings, other than this I don't see any issues because only staff members who are meant to be trusted members of the community can access it.
