I said this as a joke in game but it seemed to get good feedback.

So we all know rule breakers pretty much ruin the game experience whether it's Death run, Semi serious RP or whatever but what if rule breakers had to write an essay on how sorry they are had to describe what rule they broke and how they aren't going to break it again? I'm sure we could talk about this more but I just want to get some feed back on the idea just for laughs.

Most players don't even talk english to a degree they could write a freaking essay on it.
There could be minor rulebreaks which don't even need an essay.
Most players can't be assed.
Most players will do it again.
Most players will troll.

List goes on.
Don't see how this would be a viable option, and what you've described as being an essay, is something said person should write if they were to make a proper appeal.
