Yeah, I mean, this server is designed for fun. Not ub3r roleplay. (Still waiting for perp) I don't think this will help anyone least of all staff. I mean, don't get me wrong, your suggestions are good they just don't fit zarp well. Keep making suggestions as you see them though. Don't be afraid to try to change zarp. Thanks for this man. Just trying to make the RP a solid 8/10 at least. |

Karma doesn't matter at all, it's purely cosmetic. Anyways, I like the whole "valid RP reason for a hit" and that's about the only thing I like about this.

I must admit, the suggestions may have been a bit too serious for this server, yet the valid reason for a hit is a brilliant idea which I have seen many servers which run very well. Thanks for the support! |

Easy answers to these. No, No, No, No, No. These are not valid reasons. It would be considered FailRP in some places for a hit an to be running round asking for hits. Fair enough advertising, but not running asking people, "Hey place a hit on someone". Staff discresion would have to be used heavily, and from past experience, if trained properly, a staff members decision is usually a good one. Good, now why aren't they valid reasons? What would constitute a valid reason? It can't be entirely u pto the staff discretion cause I'll tell you now, the staff are different people with different ideas. Due to zarps diversity lots of staff have different ideas. Hell, even in the lead team, you can get different answers from different people. EMP may say yes, Red may say no. The best thing is to have it written or given. This would be a pain to enforce for staff... also, I use hits to clear out members of a base for a raid, is that not valid? what about if I forget to raid? What if I say that I'm going to raid, just waiting? How is the admin meant to enforce this. Now, this criticism is to help you better your idea by coming up with a more viable suggestion (One that will work). By bringing up what won't. |

I would like to thank everyone for their responses, whether they be negative or positive. I'm glad this thread started a much needed discussion about a potentially game changing rule. As always, I am striving to make this server a better place with better RP, yet unfortunately this means moving to a more serious RP status.
Anyways, going to sleep. Hope to read more responses in the morning! |

I'm immensely tired ATM so I'll reply to this in the morning. Thanks. |

Bold, pls stop making the zarp ssrp servers into one of your serious roleplay servers, the current system is fine as it is. I'm weeding out rule breakers. In what life would you out a hit on someone for the lols. None. Even casual RP servers have this rule. This is semi-serious, not EXTREMELY-UBER-ALWAYS serious. ![]() |

This whole valid reasons is what bugs me, who decides this? If i RP as Osama Bin Laden am i allowed to just place hits on people because they dont agree with me? Where is the bondary between racism and a valid hit reason?
However i do like that you come with suggestions that we can disscus! |

What you just said was a pointless response and has been discussed before. |

Well in my opinion I would stop the whole Osama thing before it started but we can use the mayor job as an example. If someone didn't agree with a mayor, he has full control over the police force and he can use that to assist him in running his dictatorship, yet placing hits would be a step too far. You wouldn't see Obama placing a hit on Trump, and a modern day dictator would use his army/police force to put his views into the people of his country. |

Now, this criticism is to help you better your idea by coming up with a more viable suggestion (One that will work). By bringing up what won't. In regard to staff discresion ill just use X and Y. The rules could state that anything related to X is not a valid reason, and anything relating to Y is valid. Obviously this would be more in detail, yet the 'anything related' idea seems like it could work as it is not too specific as to complicate things, and is not too broad to give the staff free reign on what is valid and what isn't. s I know I'm trying to change things, and this discussion helps perfect ideas and hopefully implement some that will improve the server and make it a better RP environment for players. |
