TOPIC: [DR/Bhop] Text hats

Server Name: Deathrun, BHOP

Suggestion Title: Add text hats

How would it benefit the server: it would look really nice and its something people would save up for.

Potential Issues/Exploits: Racist words.

Additional notes: Can be found in GMOD Tower content I believe.

This has been suggested before but I cant remember what happened with the last suggestion.
I personally like the idea though.

The thing about racism could easily be handled just like we handle people with racist names.

We had it on the ssrp server once, when there was a pointshop.
I also aggre with Random, I like the idea, but just make it expensive so not everyone have it.

And maybe, to further deal with the issue of using offensive language as your text, maybe ban certain racial slurs. I can compile a list but of course I'm not putting it here on the forums.

This is a great idea,
To fix the problem you could have a list of words that are banned, if they try to have these words an error message will appear.
If anyone breaks the rules with the hats I'm sure that a staff member would be more than capable to give them a punishment.

Yeah, I'd be down for this! Really nice suggestion, only thing I'd worry about is any additional lag. For the explicit words, I can work something out with a few other members of the community and try to get as many explicit words blacklisted.

I think it is a good idea. The offensive text is not a Gigantic problem, since the staff can look out for that.
Like the others said, make it expensive!

We have decided to deny this for Deathrun as it's easily abused, and would create a large amount of visual disruption on the server. All in all, it would take a lot of work for something that could be abused easily, annoy people and something that gets boring very quickly.
