Server Name: SSRP 1&2

Suggestion Title: Making the Barrett 50. Cal Sniper Rifle craft-able

How would it benefit the server: Give people a chance to do heavy damage from long range without being able to spam fire, like with the PSG and SVU. EDIT: Soxey did say it is an Anti-Material Rifle. So why not make it so that it will destroy a couple props when you shoot at them.

Potential Issues/Exploits: Tweak damage so it isn't a one hit kill to the limbs, but maybe to the chest & head. | Spam firing | Not destroying props that you can already shoot through, like fences.

Additional notes: Make this around the same as the Minigun in resources.

Isn't the AWP already enough like that? And most games i have played that has the Barrett 50. cal can spam shoot with it.

People assume Barret 50. Cal rifles are for shooting people, they're Anti-material rifles, if you shot a human they'd be missing a whole limb. They're for taking out armoured vehicles.
Why not try tweaking the pre-existing weapons.
Making the m4a1 not the most OP gun.

An anti-materiel rifle (AMR) is a rifle that is designed for use against military equipment (materiel), rather than against other combatants ("anti-personnel").
Maybe precise prop DESTRUCTION
Shoot a prop, it dies.

But surely, if you shot a person with it, they'd die too.

I also like this idea, the prop-destroying feature would be a great addition too.

Possibly make it so that the weapon shoots slow, but still semi-automatic ( not being able to spamshoot ), make it so that it takes a certain amount of hits ( depending on the length,width and depth of the prop ) and possibly make it so that it costs around 350k-750k .

Yeah sure, let's make it take multiple hits to destroy one prop. Sounds totally usable.

But what I was thinking is that it unfreezes, unwelds, and flings the prop in the direction the bullet hit it at? So if you shot it while you are facing north, it would maybe unweld, unfreeze and fling north as well. But make sure that it takes 1 shot.

I'm not totally sure but if the Lead Team accepts this it'll be all their decisions.

If this is added it needs to be a 1hit (like any other explosive weapon) but without splash damage.

It would have to be a crafted wep obviously if it could blow props, how about it can shoot through thin props or 1 hit people out of cars, or actually be a 1 hit headshot wep (still crafted).

Really cool idea, but one thing is like stratiic said if the props are massive the 50cal should weaken the prop and then you use your milkor.0

i dont think that is needed, you can already do extremly heavy damage with both the single fire snipers, just go for the head
