Hey guys,
about 7 months ago I made a topic with a bunch of suggestions. Today, I represent it to you guys, but slightly edited. I believe most of the suggestions here could improve gameplay and useless items, ending up with more people using them, thus introducing more varied gameplay styles that work! Most of these are copied from my old thread, but some of them have new or rewritten content. Points Obtained After Round [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] How would it benefit the server At the moment, it feels cheaty when you kill a traitor and you immediately get 25 points for it. It's a quick way to find out if the person you shot is a traitor, and you don't have to check the body to be sure, so I suggest you get the points after the round has ended instead of during the round. This will prevent people from easily knowing if the guy they shot is a Traitor without people checking the body or leaving their spot. You could make it so that the system checks how many correct kills you made and gives point accordingly once the round ends. Potential Issues/Exploits None Additional notes Doesn't matter if you do it with the Traitor, for obvious reasons. Special Round Events [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] How would it benefit the server Having special rounds varies the game up a bit. Most people get bored easily when playing the same thing over and over again, and that's something TTT is guilty of doing. Potential Issues/Exploits It could be possible to use the Traitor or Detective menu. I suggest disabling those and giving the Traitors armor as well during one of those special rounds, since Detectives spawn with them automatically. Additional notes: A few special round suggestions could be, for example, a round where every gets a knife and can only use a knife. The players will be split into different teams (Traitors and Detectives), and try to take others down. A big text and an audio cue will also indicate that it's a special round. Buff the Knife [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] How would it benefit the server Knives are underused currently, and for a good reason. Since the knife only does 50 damage at the moment, people will know when they get knifed and call the Traitor out. The Traitor simply doesn't have enough time to kill the Innocents before they turn around and shoot at them, or call them out. The only times they will actually manage to pull this off is if the person doesn't notice (which in most cases they do), or if the person has no microphone or radio binds that calls the Traitor out. Potential Issues/Exploits People could complain about the knife being OP, but they should just be more aware of their Additional notes You can only buy 1 knife, and if it can't give you reliable kills, it won't be used all that often. The 2-hit kill also destroys the knife's purpose of being a sneaky weapon, for reasons stated above. If this can't be added, I suggest making a throwing knife do a 1-hit kill, or let the knife do 99 damage (instead of 100 = insta-kill) instead. Top Player Rewards [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] How would it benefit the server As it is currently, this system is broken. There are only 4 rewards and if you end up as either second or third you can only select the "Good boy" reward, which isn't really useful at all. If you end up being the best player, the only perk that you'd like to choose would most likely be a T Round. It can become quite predictable that someone is a T when they are the best player score-wise, so I suggest you add more rewards, like spawning with a weapon for example. I'm sure the staff team can come up with some creative rewards. Another way to make it 'less' predictable is by not showing what place people are in chat when they choose their price, but rather just a seperate part of the HUD where not an extreme amount of people look. Sure, it can be fun to be recognized as the best player, but if your choices are as swallow as they are now and quite predictable, you're gonna get KOS'd a lot quicker. Potential Issues/Exploits None Additional notes None Camping Rules [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] How would it benefit the server Currently, there's no set time that someone can camp in certain areas, mainly T rooms or T room exits. It's common sense that you can't camp the T room for the entire round (and it's also very boring), but I see a lot of people camping the T room for a good 5 minutes. Same applies to camping certain locations, like the room leading into the T room on 67thway. Potential Issues/Exploits None. Additional notes None. Maps That Should be Considered Adding, if not added already [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Original CSS Maps (Suggested by Blocked) TTT Terrorception TTT Lunar Base TTT_Chaser TTT_Vessel TTT_slender ttt_mc_skyislands ttt_metropolis ttt_rapture_v3 ttt_richland ttt_slender_v3_fix ttt_mc_mineshaft TTT_dolls Titanic - TTT (Trouble in Terrorist Town) - Bump Up Underplayed Maps [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] How would it benefit the server: Currently, there seem to be a lot of "mainstream" maps, like the minecraft island and rooftops, that most people vote for to play on, making a lot of under maps almost unplayed. I suggest some kind of system that looks at how many times certain maps have been played and suggests maps that aren't played often as votes for the voting system. Potential Issues/Exploits: It might end up giving you 4 maps that are broken in one way or another. Additional notes: None. Click Away Map Vote [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] How would it benefit the server: Currently, you can't click away the Map Vote Menu. This can be quite annoying if you want to leave the server or continue voice chatting. The Vote Menu seems to prevent buttons from being pressed and from you being able to see the ESC menu. Potential Issues/Exploits: None. Additional notes: None. That's it for now. More suggestions may be added at a later date. |

All of this seems quite nice, but I'm pretty sure there is already a rule against camping (not sure)
