[SSRP] Spectate logs for SA+ 9 years 2 months ago #102395

Server Name: SSRP

Suggestion Title: New logs so SA+ can see if admins abuse the spectate command to get hits/raid.

How would it benefit the server: I think it would keep away some abusive admins, I always get the feeling of being spectated because I am always being killed by staff when I have hits on me.

Potential Issues/Exploits: None that I know of

Additional notes: Hopefully this gets implemented, as I feel that it would help the leadteam catch abusive admins who do this. Maybe have it so you can see what time they spectated and what time the hit was placed or how long after they killed them and or raided them.

This would be useful, but there is always that possibility that it was a coincidence that they were spectating someone, then they complete a hit, or raid the person... But, that would be easily discussed if it was a coincidence. Also, a negative would be that the server would have to do more things at the same time (like it doesn't do enough already). So it could contribute to the "Ping Problem" or could degrade performance slightly.

Personally I feel like its a bad idea. If we were to add this then admins would lose the ability to safely gather evidence on possibly abusing superadmins. Some of you might know who I'm talking about.

maybe make it so they can achieve a bypass if they ask a cm or ha they trust. So it won't show up for any rank. This would only be while spectators a specific person for a specific period of time, similar to a warrant.

Then when a HA or CM isn't online they don't feel safe gathering evidence on someone who us abuse. Plus what if its a HD or an SA committing the abuse. This is exactly why the command doesn't log in the first place.
