TOPIC: [Suggestion] (all) Server mod/admin template

Server Name:
Forums (server application templates).

Suggestion (Title):
I'd like see something added in the current server mod/admin templates,
some players that apply for the moderator/adminstrator position were a staffmember before on Zarp and to be able to make the right choice for a vote in the server meetings I'd like to see a new optional question for the templates, somewhere along the lines:
"Have you ever been demoted before on Zarp's *insert game(mode) here* server? and if so, why were you demoted?"

How would it benefit the server:
I think it will help the staffmembers in their meeting votes, because we will have a more clear image about the applying user and his/her history as former mod/admin/SA/CM on Zarp and what he/she did wrong to get demoted in the first place.

Potential Issues/Exploits:
Next to just lying about his/her past, no issue or exploit I can think of.

Additional notes:
ofc. the responsible SA/CM/owner could elaborate the demote motivation if it is a bit vaguely answered by the applying user. & I'd love some feedback on this idea.

I think we know our community, we do know who got demoted and the reason.

People might just lie at that questions or simply are not honest.

I think it would clear things up a bit, and someone from the lead team could elaborate the demote reason and it would be clear to us if he/she lied when this reason is elaborated, since we always got one person from the lead team to host the meetings in the first place.

There are no new mods/admins that can vote on forum apps

But I see your point and agree that we could add that on Server apps

Personally I feel that there needs to be WAY more questions regarding finite rules on the server. Everyone knows what NLR, RDM and metagame is, but some applicants may not recognise a fail base or a fail mug.

Meh not needed. Applications should show what you know and basically show how good you are for the staff position and not negative aspects such as previous demotions.
Most people include it in their last section anyway but if they don't want to share then they shouldn't have to.
At the end of the day the opinion of newer staff towards them are based on how they have seen them act therefore their present attitude and/or experience and that is what counts towards being accepted. As long as they show staff-like aspects then they shouldn't need to own up to their previous mistakes.

Including a section like this in the application would instantly give bad impressions right from the start and that's not what the apps are needing. Although I hear where you are coming from and agree that new staff should know if they have been demoted or not but it shouldn't affect their opinion and final vote.
