TOPIC: [VOTE] DarkRP Section Rule (Regarding IC)

Hello,

A complaint has been raised by members of the staff team regarding the 'DarkRP' forum section. The complaint has a proposal which wishes to disallow the following:

We will be deciding the result of the proposal through a community vote, please make your response on the poll and if need be, post your opinion.

Positive points (for the proposal)
- Forum should only be used to raise issues/bugs.
- Forums aren't in the game and shouldn't be used for IC.
- Adverts should stay on the server.

Negative points (against the proposal)
- Has always been allowed, and proven a good way for organizations to get members and 'businesses' to attract customers.
- Can inform the roleplayers more in depth information about the org/business without the leaders having to repeat themselves.
- A virtual 'internet' for the roleplayers to see things.
- Information is available to the roleplayers 24/7, not just at the time of an advert.
- It's part of the server anyway.
- What else would the DarkRP section be used for?

I'll give my personal opinion in this post to avoid coming across as biased.

Personally, I think that there's no issue with it - it's been allowed for a very, very long time and we've never had a problem with it. It allows people to roleplay better, and there just really isn't a need to remove it. Finally, it's part of the server and adds another reason for people to use the forums.

I missunderstood the post so I accidently voted no, my vote is a yes.

I've done this before with the formation of HAWK and it turned out exceptionally well for RP situations.

I do think there should be a Section dedicated for IC or Organisation Recruitment etc though.

Of course when we make an Application for the Twix Family, this will be decided, damn! xD Can you then please make a section where it fits at least? Otherwise we have to just add every Applying Guy to Steam list and tell him to make a textfile or something.. ^^
