Introduction
I'm suggesting a new method for promotions at DarkRP meetings in this topic, similar to the one used at FP. It removes the nomination system. How it works Upon promotion to moderator, the new moderator can wait until after one extra meeting where from then he can apply for admin with a separate template, and possibly some screenshots/video of the F1's he has done: like a portfolio. These replace the nominations which are often based on friendship, can overlook some still hardworking moderators, and often ineffective. This way, the moderators will have to put in some more effort into becoming an admin, giving a more insightful vote for the administrators. This topic is mainly for staff to discuss, and it will also be brought up at the meeting, anyone else is also welcome to give their two cents. |

You are a genius Chris. If this was put in place then my suggestion wouldn't need to be looked at because this would solve it.

This is the light, this is the best suggestion ever made since i joined zarp for the very first time.
We are experiencing so many promotions due to an admin thinking that a player is friendly, or because they have been rp'ing with them. Let's look at it this way, we have a moderator in another timezone, working harder than the ones in the admins timezone, however the one in the other timezone won't be noticed when he is actually doing a good job. This is the best way to get promoted the ones working hard, so they wont feel unfair, when someone is being promoted within a week because of a friendship. Yes YES YES |

After a discussion at the meeting on 22/02/14, we voted in favor of this motion.
It came into effect on 02/03/2014, with a template available now. |
