TOPIC: Zarp's future?!?!

I’ve noticed that recently there haven’t been many updates aimed toward newer players. It feels like a lot of the "OG ZARP" players have moved on, they’re older now and might not have as much time for games anymore. But there’s always room to bring in new players, and I think focusing on features or updates that support and attract newcomers could really help the server grow again. That leads me to basing I understand there are currently items/suits/weapons that might contradict this new "basing update" I’ve been recommending for example the

Normal base shield - add 5% damage reduction for all wepons or anything damage reduction related

base shield golden - change to add 10% damage resistance to only normal wepons or just add 10% damage restance

glitch suit - i feel like this is just part of the fame and should stay the same as traps can counter

weapons/explosives that break props – simply make it to where props don’t get destroyed with weapons. or have a system like if the fuel for the base is under 75% it takes a certain amount of shots to break props and once raid started fuel can’t be added till raid is over. (Useing blow torch will repair it)

blow torch - can be used to repair the damaged props if raid started and players are breaking base props

building with good pvp in garrys mod is a reason most other servers are alive today and if zarp can have its unique touch that players enjoy the server will strive again. I don’t like picking a building and hiding my printers, I want to make my base and protect my entities.

Advertising can significantly increase the number of players attracted to the server, since many Garry’s Mod players might simply not know it exists. One effective method is to host events for current players where they create high-quality tutorial videos on YouTube or TikTok about a specific task or feature of the server. The winner of each event would receive a prize, and their video would be posted in a new Discord channel called “Guides / How-To / Tutorials.” For example, you could run an event where players create the best base-building tutorial, and the winning video gets featured in the Discord. This not only helps with advertising the server but also builds a helpful library of guides for new and returning players.
