Suggestion Title: Stop allowing nukes in the ele

How would it benefit the server: The retarded ass weapons on ssrp mixed with the stupid map design is making nuking a one sided cancer fest that is killing the only last fun part of ssrp.

Potential Issues/Exploits: Desire cries

Additional notes: Map is good for RP not zarp. Bring back downtown at least that had balance.

We are not removing the ele base or people being able to use features of gameplay in there.

Instead, we will be making changes in map updates to help balance it, such as preventing shooting through the doors (in either direction) and making the elevator and its doors larger.

It can't be balanced, it was a massive problem on evocity and that didn't have the alien or dmg or any stupid high damage AOE weaons outside of idk M202 and thunderguns. Unless you plan on making 3+ separate ways to get into the base it won't be balanced due to weapons. No matter what you use to attack with its unraidable in most situations unless of people going afk mid nuke or pissing about. 12 Tripmines 2 Force-fields 3 people with dmgs or alien guns. Please tell me how you expect someone to come out of a doorway hell even a double doorway into a long stretch with no cover against a dmg that's damaging radius larger than the corridor and doorway. Also risk and reward currently is far to scuffed to be balanced which in turn fucks over the economy

Spoken with Mix3rz about this and apparently creating those elevators is a lot of work due to the way the teleports and some fancy hammer stuff that I don't understand works, but Joshua came up with another idea, which could be to add a staircase in here:



which would lead down part of the way and then teleport to the other end of the staircase inside the downstairs section of the building

making ele doos larger wont really fix the issue, the dmg radius still to large and it will still be impossible to pass trought or even fight, and the hallway is too small as well you cant even face the basers
i suggest to :
make the ele hallway larger as well as its doors
nerf the dmg (reduce its radius, make the cooldown between shots longer, or reduce the damage)
add stairs maybe (like old crackhouse)

I would love to see some changes to the current elevator bases, however completely removing them has showed in the past that everyone wanted it back within a few months. I do think the hallway is to small for some fixes, as the dmg could just target both entrances.

Xnator you remember when server was pretty empty and I nuked and you, callum, and mixers raided (granted it was just gedf raids but still). I was solo and managed to keep 3 people away with just a mini2 and a force field for the first half upstairs then had to go downstairs just for the chance to have some pvp then big preston showed up and took over 1v15 with nothing but a gauss. Point is how easy it was to hold off 3 people solo with just a mini2. Now up imagine 3 people with suits + aliens/dmg/mini2 + 9 tripmines + 3 force fields + tacs and you get about 3 seconds to deal with all of that IF you risk your own suit which will end in certain death otherwise you get about .5 seconds once those ele doors open
