Server Name: ttt

Suggestion Title: implement a system that will check for users with autoslay and will prevent them from getting assigned T or detective that round.

Im not a coder but maybe something like if autoslay=1 then tchance=0, dchance=0

How would it benefit the server: It would prevent unfair matchups and other people suffering from someone elses punishment (if one of your T allies dies or the detective is killed instantly)

I doubt this will be implemented since autoslays are a punishment and adding this would decrease the value since you have no chance of getting a rare role that round

I would consider the fact you're already forced to sit out a round punishment enough. Since you're getting autoslayed there's already no chance you're actually going to be playing a "rare role" that round so why penalize people who had nothing to do with the rulebreak?

Sounds like a good idea. Theoretically, it is possible for a round to end as soon as it starts if every person that was supposed to be a traitor next round has an autoslay, same with detectives. Which is a problem.

What Jim_Jam said exactly. Also, most of the people that break the rules constantly usually don't care enough about their rounds as innocent and it wouldn't be a real punishment unless they lose a T or D round. Just don't break the rules and there is no risk of you losing any T rounds.

thats somewhat true, but imagine if you got traitor after like 10 rounds of inno and Most/all the other traitors get autoslayed, giving you like 0 chance of winning.

As I've previously said, by taking away the chance to be either role you've made them lose a T or D round the exact same % of the time anyway. The only difference is the confirmation that they've lost a T round which is a very pedantic detail imo.

Besides, I feel like the more compelling factor to consider here is the benefit this would have to the fairness and consistency of the game for the rest of the players. We shouldn't let the punishment of rulebreakers impact the experience of everyone else.

I'd say losing T buddies is better because you can kill more people and get more XP/points even if you do end up losing the round.

I think this is a good idea but i doubt it'll get added because of the punishment aspect that's supposed to make it annoying when you're traitor

Yes but (and other people might disagree with me on this) the whole point of a slay is that it is a kill at the start of the round and not an fspec of sorts. This means it should come with all aspects of a death including people losing a t buddy.

On a side not are we even sure that it gives them the role and it's not just the spectate bug? I don't think I've ever seen a detective been slain which sounds impossible if roles are given first.

What I'm saying is that by removing the chance to be T for a round (before slaying them),you're removing just as many T rounds for them as you would normally, just without ruining other people's round by being down a teammate

Either way, you're not playing T that round, so why let a rule breaker create an uneven match?
