As I've previously said, by taking away the
chance to be either role you've made them lose a T or D round the exact same % of the time anyway. The only difference is the confirmation that they've lost a T round which is a very pedantic detail imo.
Besides, I feel like the more compelling factor to consider here is the benefit this would have to the fairness and consistency of the game for the rest of the players. We shouldn't let the punishment of rulebreakers impact the experience of everyone else.
