The USA server was changed to the same map as the UK server because we do not have multiple servers in order to give the option to create OP bases - we have multiple servers to give players in the US an equivalent server to play on without having high ping or connection issues, and to broaden the horizons of ZARP in terms of where our players come from.
I agree I'm not saying give them maps with elevator bases or stupidly op areas all I'm suggesting is adding a few fairly balanced maps on rotation for people to play, such as old downtown maps and other that are similar, they will still get the same low ping as now and USA player will still have a place to play. saying it's about stopping people creating op bases I don't see how it applies when using balanced maps as they can still get a zerg on the downtown map and make a huge fuck-off base. maybe im just not getting your point but anyway.
the point is theres no casino and shit on other maps lol
There are other servers with way more features, spawn points, NPC locations, and entity placement locations then zarp but still, they rotate their maps ever another month. anyway, I expect this suggestion to be written off like most others as it seems to be a trend to just outright deny them or just ignore them rather than to discuss any alternatives to them. I understand there is stuff being worked on in the background but still, this is something until they decide to release anything
We implemented the Community Council for a reason, you seem to believe we are outright denying suggestions so I would strongly recommend that you apply and you will see that we look over and discuss every single suggestion in the weekly meetings:
zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/server-ap...template-application
In order to implement things like the Casino and arena events onto other maps, we would need to customise each of these maps to add these things, which on some maps would cause issues due to limitations in Hammer, and would also take a lot of time for Patrick, who already has enough on his hands.
We know that people feel that there are issues with things like basing and players having stuff to do / newer players having the chance to raid bases, and I can assure you that there are features in the coming update(s) which we believe will definitely help with this (many of which have been completed and are ready to be added in the next update once they have been tested)
I'd also like to add that the issue with basing not being as popular anymore doesn't really seem to me as a map-based thing. There are places on Server 1 where people can base and defend, but the reason that a lot of people have given me for not basing is that they do not see any point, as they don't really have much to gain (since a lot of players have already reached the maximum in terms of progression, and can only really get new stuff when we do updates which add new items in cases, although this still doesn't add an incentive to base as basing doesn't give you these items unless you buy them from someone else). This is why we are putting a
lot of focus in
at least the next two updates to change this, bringing more reasons to base and more areas in which users can progress.
I'm not the only person who believes you just deny them the majority of the community does as well, listen this is nothing against you as I know you're doing a lot for zarp at the moment, but if you're not staff or in a high position you have not idea about what you are working on. For example the community council they may accept suggestions but once they say they're "accepted" we don't hear anything about these things we don't even know if they are being worked on, there is no transparency from any cm team members or community council about what is being worked on. And you say apply for community council but I would almost 100% be denied as I have zero activity across the community.
And with the map situation why do you Need the casino it's not like anyone raids it anymore as it's not worth doing since its been nerfed it's just another addition with no real purpose yes it sounds good but in practice, it's just not what it's hyped up to be. This was just meant to be something temporary to keep that small amount of players you have left playing the server
anyway, this will be my last reply as I'm not going to sit here going around in circles I guess we will just have to agree to disagree
im not saying i have a high position. im just repeating what xnator, clarky and others have already said on this topic

I want to add on, most ZARP updates now require the downtown map so it's just going to heavily strip down core content and not make those servers fun such as events, casino, airdrops, etc.

Regarding hardware upgrades, we were waiting for the new CMs to see their ideas and discuss our plans for 2020/21 when it comes to what we want to do with the increased available resources from the upgrade, as it is a considerable increase. This means we will be able to have more US-based servers as well, and it is something that we plan to implement as soon as we can, so expect further updates on that within the next few weeks.

cant find the post but when i asked about a certain accepted suggestion i was told they have a list of all accepted suggestions and when they get implemented depends on the priority
btw im not disagreeing with you im just saying the chances of this being accepted are slim because the high ranks already told their opinions on this(this is not my personal opinion)
Obviously there are some things that we can't really talk about as that would ruin the surprise and hype around updates that we want to preserve, but we do have a pretty long list of suggestions that have been accepted in the Community Council meetings (which are always also included on the meeting outcomes):
Quite a few of these things are large suggestions that we are working on, so they take quite a bit of time, but as of yet, I've not heard anything about changing the map to anything else (obviously we've discussed the suggestions that have been made on the forums for it, but I don't recall many, if any, positive things being mentioned about it). We strongly recommend that anyone with opinions on things like this apply for the Community Council, and we are trying to be as transparent as we can about updates and what we're working on, which has come a
long way from what it used to be, but we do have this system in place with the Community Council which anyone can apply to join, and have seen very few people who complain about not having a voice actually applying.
