Suggestion Title:

Increase nuke timer for the larger gangs

How would it benefit the server:

I'm not sure if nukes going off every 15 minutes when the server has over 20 players is what is causing people to leave, but it would make me if I were a new player who had no clue what was going on.

Potential Issues/Exploits:

Upset in the community about something actually being "hard to do"...

People leaving to circumvent this system.

The timer being too large.

Additional notes:

The nuclear launch timer should scale in time depending on how large your gang is or how many of your gang members are online. This would mean that if you were just a solo gang member on you aren't completely crippled and if it's 15 / 20 members of a gang online then they would actually have to work to launch the nuke.

I wouldn't imagine you would want anyone to have to wait anymore than 45 minutes to an HOUR to launch a nuke but increasing the timer up to a maximum of 30 minutes would seem fair, especially if your gang is extremely top tier and could defend the nuke for days on end without a problem.

Additional additional note: This is a pretty awful suggestion that could do with a lot of work, just a small idea that could grow into something great potentially.

Cool idea, but the problem with nuke balancing is the map basically feeding these free nukes to players with minimum coordination and usage of suits.

yes, it's a good idea, but let's take a example of someone who joined the biggest zarp gang, but he's all alone and all his members are offline and consider what you're going to say, it means that will have to wait. 30 minutes to defend, it is not very nice to earn a super uranium for each nuke (15 minutes) if it is increased, so 30 minutes = 2 super uranium could agree with that.

How about this:

When launch equipment is dropped, it creates a ‘zone’ - size of this zone is up for debate - that will check for any gang members in this zone when activated. Depending on the number of gang members in this zone on activation, the timer will obviously increase along with it.

Hmm, good point. I just don’t think it would be fair counting all online gang members cause they might not be anywhere near the nuke or have any intention to help

I don't think there's really a good way of doing it unless you make leaving and joining back exploiting and that would have to be monitored.

how do people even launch nukes these days I've been looking at the gametracker for like a week and I've only seen it go above 20 players like 5 times through the week it's always below 20

I think you need to read the suggestion again, the timer would only increase based off of how many of your gang members are online.

They could also make the timer go up depending on how many cops are online, the less cops the more time there is.
