I would actually really like this change. Whenever I ask for a lifecheck, for example, I never really get any responses. I think that if this were introduced the Detective could work a lot more efficiently.
I'm not sure how difficult this would be to implement though.
While i do see some merit in the suggestion i feel saying it would allow the detective to work a lot more efficiently is a bit of stretch.
From experience with using the radiobind lifecheck it tends to get even less responses on average than if i were to just to type "lifecheck respond in 20s or you will be KOSed" and that already appears in blue to show you are a detective. There are a few possible reasons for this, the first being that in my opinion it could be worded a bit better. At the moment saying "anyone still alive" can give the impression that it is more of a question and is optional, as a result players tend to ignore it not realising that they can be KOSed for not responding. The other reason is that again in my opinion the blue text it uses for detectives(and i really don't know why i am like this) always tends to be unnoticed by me, maybe it would help if it was a darker blue to make it stand out more.
As for more general use i feel that simply changing the detectives text to mark them as a detective will do very little. With things like asking people to test or calling a lifecheck the issue is not that players cannot tell if its a detective, the issue is that the vast majority of players are brand new and do not even know what these things mean. You can mark them as a detective all you want but that wont change the fact that if its a new player they will not know where the tester is or even know what testing is at all. Same with lifechecks, most players are new so may not know what it is and therefore don't respond. For the players who are not brand new they can easily just press tab and it takes no time to see if they being spoken to by a detective.
