Suggestion Title:

Force police to use weapons over baton rushing

How would it benefit the server:

Better experience in combat against Police who can't play properly.

Potential Issues/Exploits:

Users not following the rule.
Complaints people can't aim.

Additional notes:

Please force cops to follow fearRP when it comes to arresting players, in no way should a cop ever come running at a group of people who are actively attacking them. Instead they should also be put in the situation that makes them also have to use a weapon, it's really starting to annoy me with the amount of cops who come running into a district nuke base or even just a base spamming their arrest stick.

The rule would be something similar to the police rule that allows cops to KOS wanted players rather than arresting:

Please note I've never really written rules for role play servers before so this may be worded poorly, obviously if this was ever to become a change I imagine it would be worded very differently.

EDIT: You could also add a delay per swing so the user can only swing the stick say once every 2 seconds.

It's just one of those stupid things that exist in zarp for no reasons and that's been there for so long that it won't change.

I mean, baton rushing is like the only chance new players have against certain suits and scopeboosted psgs
until some of the other stuff is rebalanced, I don't think this should be changed.

Maybe add a 5 second delay on every swing with the arrest baton, that would be better, as every staff member would have a different view what "baton rushing" is

I have no issue with players tasering me and arresting me or weapon checking me and sticking me in a jail cell, it's when I am in combat with someone and they abuse the fact they can arrest people from like 200 foot away from the actual player, baton rushing requires little to no effort meanwhile using a PSG at least requires you to aim and land more than one shot.

Saying that people using PSG's or guns against people trying to arrest is the most mind numbing argument I have ever seen, of fucking course a gun is going to hurt you, you fucking halfwit.

EDIT: TO summarise, a cop wouldn't and shouldn't run at someone with a gun pointed to them, it results in death, funnily enough.

there are legitimate issues with the arrest baton. balance is not one of them.
