TOPIC: TTT Suggestion/ Add attachments and smoke buff

Suggestion Title:
Adding attachments to any weapon e.g foregrip and also smoke buff by making smokes darker and having a greater area of impact
How would it benefit the server:
just add some more variety to the server so it doesn't get too boring
as for the smoke it will give the smoke nade a use as of now it is almost useless due to small coverage and not being dark enough
Potential Issues/Exploits:
coding for attachments and visuals

Yeah, I doubt it will get added because of the lack of an SO, but this would be nice to see!

We need a server developer for this!

The smoke shouldn't be that big of a problem to work on, and the smoke is rather skimpy, so if there was a possibility to increase the range and effectiveness, I'm all for it.



Attachment's on the other hand I can see being a massive pain in the neck, and honestly other than the visual aspect (which as we all know is a HUGE thing for a lot of people, take CS:GO or any game that utilizes cosmetic's as a paying option for their players) Even if the different attachment's did give some type of benefit, I don't see it being that important to have something like this added, maybe as a side-job for someone to work on in their spare time, but not as a priority as it's really just only going to have a visual aspect to it. (On top of which, I feel that if someone did undertake this task, it would also benefit other servers such as the DarkRP server, so a bit more of an incentive to work on this, but still not that big of a thing honestly.)

I agree with the smoke but I like the weapons how they are now

so the attachments will make the guns have a greater variety and these attachments must be bought and can only be done after unlocking and here is a list of attachments i came up with (max 2 per weapon can be chosen)

Luger - silencer, long barrel, extended mag, fast mag, sight of some sort (proposed is 1 short and 1 medium ranged),
Uzi - silencer, long barrel, extended mag, fast mag, sight
MP9 - long barrel, extended mag, fast mag
ACR - silencer, long barrel, extended mag, fast mag, sight, grip
Contender - quick reload, silencer, long barrel
Mossberg - silencer, long barrel, extended mag, fast mag, grip (makes the in between shot quicker and reduces a bit of the recoil)
KRISS Vector - silencer, long barrel, extended mag, fast mag
G3 - silencer, long barrel, extended mag, fast mag, sight, grip
Thompson - silencer, long barrel, fast mag. sight
Tec9 - silencer, extended mag, fast mag, long barrel,
Jackhammer - silencer, long barrel, fast mag, extended mag, grip, short range sight
Terror Tech Volk - silencer, extended mag, grip, sight

silencer - reduces sound of gun and increases accuracy a bit but reduces range as well
long barrel - increases range and a bit of accuracy
extended mag 0 adds extra bullets to the mag
fast mag - reloads the weapon quicker
sights - increases accuracy a bit
grip - reduces recoil and improves hip fire

Negatives- As of right now players just randomly throw smoke granades without any intention to use them in anyway to help them at all, this leaves parts of the map covered in a gray fog making it hard to see. Increasing the area that the smoke is in will only increase the annoying nature of the smoke covering the map even more.

Positives- Smoke as of right now is not large enough for a player such as the traitor to even benefit from. Increasing the size will bring many benefits such as allowing T's to enter T room without other players seeing them, It can allow Traitors to make a quick escape without players finding out where they went.

Overall- I am unsure if it really is needed as both negatives and positives equal each other out.



Negatives- It might over complicated weapon design, Right now in TTT people recognise the basic guns in the game and have gotten used to them. If attachments are added players may be unsure if the gun a player is using is a traitor weapon or not this is mostly talking about new players who dont fully understand TTT. Another problem is that people may be unsure what gun provides better stats over another gun. Another massive problem is it will make weapons that currently are very powerful even more powerful such as guns like tec 9, Adding fast mags and silencer removes both of the guns biggest negatives and makes the weapon even more powerful that being how loud the gun is and how slow its reload is.

Positives- Allowing more attachments to be added will make every round more unique as many players will have different guns with many different attachments this will overall make the game seem fresh and new. Negatives of guns will no longer be a problem as attachments will help improve the negatives that a gun may have.

Overall- Adding attachments will make the game more interesting although it may make guns that are already overpowered even more powerful making it unfair for lower level players.

The attachments would be ok for dead to code as he is very experienced but you don’t have anyone capable of producing the models required for such an update

I agree with the smoke suggestion, I think its a good idea. creates a small blackout.

The weapons not so, I think the weapons are fine how they currently are and attachments shouldn't have to improve people's aim or what not.

I just use the smoke to plant a c4 in the open, then i but a minecart on top

Nope.

For the weapon attachments, M9K will have to be changed to TFA/CW2.0 and the smoke is good as it is now.

I am sure M9K does not support attachments as the weapons already have attachments on them but TFA/CW2.0 are customizable attachments. If the attachments was to go through however, I would say attachments for guns to be accessable via level system/weapon level system.
