Hello everyone,

I've been playing on the server for a while now and I had some ideas.
I usually play as a Weapons Dealer and make my own shops. Whether using the pre-made map buildings or my own custom ones, I like to make my shops look nice. On numerous occasions while making said shop, I've been limited to the tools I can use that are restricted. Something as simple as a lamp is restricted to Head Admins. I can see how these tools can be abused by people easily, but Head Admins only for a lamp? Another is the RT camera. Why not have a camera screen that you can see all the time? Door tool! I want my own door for a custom shop I made instead of a wall that disappears.

Anyway, is there a possibility of a job being made that grants the user access to some of the tools restricted to Admins? It could add so much more to the server if users can make their own contraptions or custom made buildings?

Like I said before, I can see how these restricted tools can cause an issue, and I've thought of a solution. Since there's VIP jobs already, could an Engineer Job be added to the VIP list? People who have VIP have a lot more time/ money invested in the server and more likely to not throw it away over a spinning dong (maybe). With the VIP Engineer job, the users that have been here have a general idea of what they can/ can't do. _{wire would be an awesome addition coughcough}

If using the VIP job list is still too broad, then maybe approved users like the Mod on Duty or Admin on Duty jobs? People can submit a request with certain specifications that are spelled out before hand. Then approved by the site Admins.

The job itself could be pretty simple. Basically the same rules as citizen, but with access to more tools and props. I don't think it's possible to allow certain jobs access to the blacklisted props, but that could be am attribute to the job. Maybe a higher prop count too.

If this has already been brought up in another forums post, please consider the job again. I've talked to some other users that would love to have a job like this too. Among the troves raiders and gangsters, there are builders too.

It would be great if you could edit this to fit this template:

in a serious rp server this might make sense. however with zarp's semi-serious gamemode and the way the server plays its really not that deep as far as this level of rp goes. tools are fine the way they are so just roleplay with the options you have.

This would simply be abused too much. It's a good idea though.

Getting some new electrics/systems sounds interesting, even though I'm not sure if it should be restricted to just one job.
