Last I heard Max said there's nothing wrong with the perk machines so I don't see how this issue is official at all. Perhaps I'm wrong though.

Hello Svanszcape, We only refund for server-side issues. The ability to buy perks is an intended feature, however the perk machines haven't worked properly for years now. They were fixed last week. As the perk machines did not work as they should have done, we will refund you. Feel free to contact me for your refund whenever you can.
