Knife - Again, fucking nobody plays with knife, as it's not 1 hit kill. Same goes for most weapons like that, which, I can't think of many others than the knife, maybe the portal gun? Even then, there are way more bugs with the portal gun than this one lmao.

As for other "potential issues" - Come the fuck on, really? It works in literally E V E R Y other server, but for some reason in our server it would be the next Armageddon. The way I see it, it's the lag issue. Proposal - Add it to test for a week. Simple.]

PS : No need to insult the guy, I'm pretty sure he was referring to the MAIN issue - the lag one. I think a better host would help with that. As mentioned by me a few times already, the other issues are insignificant compared to the benefits, as, AGAIN, no one uses knife and radio commands can be went around, it's not That much of a life/death situation (although it CAN be, but again, odds are astronomical).

Well the way I was looking at was when you overload sandbox with entities and you lose FPS as I wasn’t around when there was spec dm I was just thinking of it this way as people were saying about lag and yes I don’t know what the problem actually is since I was never there to experience it so just from what I heard about lag mainly I thought that could be the problem

But thats wrong, thats what I was saying. You don't know what your talking about and you don't have any logical support to back that up. Your making assumptions that make you look like an ass, with out the experience to understand what your talking about. But you act like you do. There is nothing wrong with the host, its one of if not the best garrysmod hosts out there. But you don't seem to know this, I wonder if its maybe because you've haven't the experiences in dealing with hosts that we have. So all I'm saying is don't blame the host unless you can actually back that up with actual facts and experience. I hate to break it to you but garrys mod runs on a decade old engine and was all but abandoned by its creator Garry. Then add the very old TTT gamemode into all of that and there are plenty of other reasons for lag that become clear to someone who has actually taken the many hours needed to properly understand that.

i was referring to the lag produced because of lack of processing power what's not logical about that, you can't run heavy shit if you can't process it as a better more powerful host would be able to handle more tasks per second but still as i am not surte how the hot works i could be completely wrong

The lag produced due to lack of processing power is so miniscule and not as noticeable as you wish it to be, the source of lag is the game-mode's ability to support the amount of players and on top of that the optimisation of Garry's Mod itself being 10 years old and the lack of development is the issue and chucking in addons that are also not optimised or supported any-more will not help the server in the way you believe it would. EMP has already stated that the host is one of the best for Garry's Mod and you should trust his word on these things as he has been running servers for sometime now.

The addon itself has very noticeable flaws and with some fine tuned testing I am sure more can be found, if you wish for this to be added maybe you and some others could work on fixes for known issues and look for possible issues.

I don’t know about you guys but I can do this great thing called google and when googling TTT Spectator Deathmatch you come across their github and when looking at what issues people have reported on there. That was over 3 years ago and they haven’t fixed it. Now I don’t know about you but if I was playing with a knife and I wanted to kill someone with it I can almost guarantee that people would rather never happen to worry about your knife or other weapon suddenly and randomly not working. Also looking at their release section and seeing how many exploits the addon in an addon that shouldn’t you have to wonder how many others have yet to surface.

Yeah, better host wouldn't do much, maybe for the lag but that's too much work for that issue.

Knife - Again, fucking nobody plays with knife, as it's not 1 hit kill. Same goes for most weapons like that, which, I can't think of many others than the knife, maybe the portal gun? Even then, there are way more bugs with the portal gun than this one lmao.

As for other "potential issues" - Come the fuck on, really? It works in literally E V E R Y other server, but for some reason in our server it would be the next Armageddon. The way I see it, it's the lag issue. Proposal - Add it to test for a week. Simple.]

PS : No need to insult the guy, I'm pretty sure he was referring to the MAIN issue - the lag one. I think a better host would help with that. As mentioned by me a few times already, the other issues are insignificant compared to the benefits, as, AGAIN, no one uses knife and radio commands can be went around, it's not That much of a life/death situation (although it CAN be, but again, odds are astronomical).
But thats wrong, thats what I was saying. You don't know what your talking about and you don't have any logical support to back that up. Your making assumptions that make you look like an ass, with out the experience to understand what your talking about. But you act like you do. There is nothing wrong with the host, its one of if not the best garrysmod hosts out there. But you don't seem to know this, I wonder if its maybe because you've haven't the experiences in dealing with hosts that we have. So all I'm saying is don't blame the host unless you can actually back that up with actual facts and experience. I hate to break it to you but garrys mod runs on a decade old engine and was all but abandoned by its creator Garry. Then add the very old TTT gamemode into all of that and there are plenty of other reasons for lag that become clear to someone who has actually taken the many hours needed to properly understand that.

i was referring to the lag produced because of lack of processing power what's not logical about that, you can't run heavy shit if you can't process it as a better more powerful host would be able to handle more tasks per second but still as i am not surte how the hot works i could be completely wrong
The lag produced due to lack of processing power is so miniscule and not as noticeable as you wish it to be, the source of lag is the game-mode's ability to support the amount of players and on top of that the optimisation of Garry's Mod itself being 10 years old and the lack of development is the issue and chucking in addons that are also not optimised or supported any-more will not help the server in the way you believe it would. EMP has already stated that the host is one of the best for Garry's Mod and you should trust his word on these things as he has been running servers for sometime now.

The addon itself has very noticeable flaws and with some fine tuned testing I am sure more can be found, if you wish for this to be added maybe you and some others could work on fixes for known issues and look for possible issues.

Ok, thanks for all the replies and whatnot, but again, they're literally useless outside of just "gmod is old lol"

To put it in ITS SIMPELEST FORM POSSIBLE, answer these questions.

1. Why is adding it for a week to test it and gathering feedback is such a bad idea?
2. What causes the lag then? Just "gltiches"?
3. How comes it works brilliantly in all other servers? Is ZARP cursed? Can we have an exorcist?
4. This is mainly for Sally, should I also fix the current dozens and dozens of problems that I want to not see anymore? For example the broken Disable Detective? Broken perk machines? Broken WarnID? Broken infinite aslay glitch? Broken role passes? Broken Portal gun? Broken balancing in unlock weapons? Broken 1 weapon only unlock system? Broken models? Broken game-play issues with those models including credits for detectives/traitors? Broken T room? Why don't me, a person who just wants to see the server improved, and not the person WHO'S RESPONSIBLE for that (developer)?

Literally almost every thing in TTT is broken and FOR SOME REASON, THEIR exploits and issues, even though they don't outweigh their benefits NOT EVEN CLOSE, They're STILL perfectly finely sitting there, when my proposal for the implementation of SpecDM feels like it would cause the fucking end of the world?

There's no reason NOT to do it, compared to the state that TTT is currently in.

Yet you guys SOMEHOW manage to scrape the bottom of the barrel of arguments and STILL try arguing against it. Why?
