So i was planning on suggesting this if i got accepted for SA. But just incase i will put it in the forums aswell.

Server Name: TTT

Suggestion Title: Adding to the rule 2.5 (Valid KOS reasons) the following: If player A gets tested and the Traitor Tester shows Red then the person MAY be KOS'd without a double test.

How would it benefit the server: It will make people less confused when it comes to the outcome of the Traitor tester.

Potential Issues/Exploits: None.

Additional notes: So here's where i explain why this needs to be added. Basically the Traitor tester turns red when an innocent is being tested only if a Traitor activates the Traitor Trap. I have seen some admins Punishing users cause they didn't double test. In my opinion there's no need for double test cause then that Traitor Trap would be useless and if someone got confused by it, he would be punished for it. I believe this is needed because both staff and Users get confused.

Thing is, people tested can't really see the torch colour so people can always lie about the torch being red and getting away with RDM.

I just came across something like this. I just opened the chat and added other people who were present while that happened. They told me the information i needed.

I totally agree with this ! I was thinking the same when I was moderator at first. I mean, why adding the possibility for the traitors to sabotage the tester IF we punish people who fall on that TRAP. Because it is a trap.

It's either we remove that feature, either we accept that people fall on the trap.

However


Cranky is right too, and people might find this as a excuse to RDM. So we need to find a way to add the tester results to the logs.

In all cases, staff members should not punish players for it. That's a feature of this map and our server 24/24 !

Or at least we need everyone to discuss about the T tester possibility of being sabotaged, and agree on if players can be punished for it. But frankly, we all know what we should do about this, and we will have to be careful about this in our future trainings.

Exactly. That's why i wanted to be in a SA meeting whilst suggesting this. It needs discussion. Also may i say that removing that Traitor Trap is not possible since it's a part of the Map. You can ask Max to confirm this. I am trying to say that to the staff members who punish for that reason and some of them know it already. But i will personally talk about this after the mod meeting ends on Sunday to make sure everyone knows it.

This change is not needed and will not happen. It's a map addition, staff should not punish for it - if we're going to add rules for every mistake the staff members make then we'll spend the rest of our lives rewriting the rules.

On the topic of this rule however, it's not needed. The point of the trap IS for innocents to kill innocents

That would only matter if this was an actual rule, something it isn't currently nor will be anytime soon.

I am pretty sure he means so people can't just say "it turned red" to get out of trouble, when they had simply dropped them cause they could when it was green. It would help determine whether they actually dropped based on the t-trap or not.

I disagree with you on this Raeker. As Lead Team of the TTT server your job is to make sure the admins and moderators have an easy time staffing. If we add this rule the outcome would be: There will be far less reports on that topic since people will know what's right and what's wrong + they won't fight with staff members cause "nothing like that is in the rules" and not many people will be punished falsly about this. Trust me, this is very unclear and new moderators come every single week. We should either put that as a must on the trainings, add 1 sentence to the rules or just make some changes in the game's gameplay. Also i never said that we should add rules for every mistake the staff members make. This is a common mistake and not a mistake that happens only once in a staff's lifetime. Also if you join the server and actually handle many reports. i ensure you that you will find atleast 1 that says: "Y DID U KILL ME OMG RDM RDM" and the respond would be: "The tester was red. ".
That's not only for staff members. But for users aswell.
