TOPIC: Semi-Serious Vanilla Roleplay Server

What's up guys i am gonna try this for the last time ever. I hope you guys will support me in this



The reason i think we should bring this back, is because it has been suggested tons of times, never been accepted i am not sure why. Not only that this is something that a TON of users/old time users wanna see come back due to the fact that the place Zarp has come to now its not about skill or grinding anymore. It is about who can equip their suit first or who is willing to take a chance and lose their special weapon that they can get back seconds later since the economy is messed up. Getting a server like this would bring back so many people that have supported Zarp for years not only by playing on the servers they have also helped make the community what it is, not only that many of the people have helped the community pay their bills every month and i think showing them some appreciation would be great. And as some of you guys know i have been around the current community for a long time, and had the pleasure of working around them, and i know some of them agree with what i am saying. There is currently 3 DarkRP servers up and running and NONE of them is even close to being full. I know its late when i write this but i highly doubt that all the servers are full throughout the day either. I know the community team put their work in for the community so why not give us what we have wanted for sooo long. It is gonna bring tons of people back as players and as staff members, this will surely bring me back playing on a daily basis. And its gonna benefit the community a lot. Please give us what we deserve.


I can only see a few negatives, one of them being have to run another server. That is not gonna bring in the amount of money the rest of the servers are. Also a problem might be that people are gonna complain that the server is full all the time.

Please give me your opinions on this guys, and thank the post and let the community team see exactly how many people want this in numbers. Lets all stand together and get the server that the community really needs. Thanks for reading my post

I agree that ssrp can seem like its getting old and the only direction it's currently going in is to just add more stuff and more specials just the "more, more, more" mentality.
The only way I see something like this being successful is if there is a well laid out plan and people willing to work on it. If you present them with a finished project or close to it'll more likely be accepted.

Character Upgrades and Blueprint cases, keeping nukes a viable RP situation (which lots of people enjoy), put the Map on Evil Melon or an updated Server 1 Map. Everything up to the Blue Print cases. The server needs some advanced play otherwise it would get stale. Obviously after taking suggestions and recommendations from the community (with proper discussions, opinions and decisions). ZARP in 2013-Late 2015 were the best times for skillful play and enjoyment.
The thing is though we would need some explosives otherwise gangs like Born in Blood, Frag Angels etc the strong gangs on the server would be unraidable. They take up majority of the experienced and skilled players, no new players would stand a chance. ( at least raiding wise ) Basing wouldn't be hard as a new player if you had the right amount of players, drugs and weapons. I would love to see a plain server based on Skill but hackers would be an even bigger problem. Knowing that the communities good and skilled players are mainly taken up into 4 gangs (BiB, FA, A TEAM, Ronins). Many unadvantaged players would turn to cheating and without special weapons that is nearly unstoppable.

There would have to be new rules, new base areas (unlike disco S2 where it's insta kill at the stairs) and rules would have to adapt to ways that can make players balanced raiding and basing.
If we do this it's going to take a lot of work, ways to compromise with/against big gangs, OP bases, balanced raiding and basing system and against proven way to making sure this would be successful.

We would need Patrick to work on a map, we would need experienced players to test it, we would need as a community and reasonably the CM team, to decide what to keep.

I'll have a chat with multiple people and see how this idea fits within the lead team.

I think that although we can't please everyone, we can take a step in the correct direction to ensure that the majority are satisfied. For sure, everyone who played in 2014 wants it back, and the better thing is, those that didn't get the chance of playing in 2014 would be able to play right now. A lot of the time, you will find that a lot of people will have preferences of bringing back earlier versions and prefer that over newer evolved versions. I think right now, the aspect of the gamemode has changed. It's not about what it was back in 2014 and that's a real shame because those were the best times.

I sent a link regarding vanilla SSRP suggestion to max and asked him to try and push it out.

It could be worth starting out as a vanilla server at first. Slowing introducing more items, that are of realistic fashion. Again, that could be an option that is open to the users to choose if they want more items introduced. Obviously, there needs to be content created, however, the content brought in should be relevant in terms of staying within the gamemode. This means no suits, no ion cannon or gluon, quite literally sticking with standard explosives. Carry on maintaining the use of Blueprint cases as a way of encouraging bank raids etc.

Everyone stopped playing fp because we were told that the way the server is now is only temporary and that when the update hits everything would reset so no one bothered to play since all progress would be lost. Since the updates never coming it's safe to assume your progress won't be reset anymore so it's a pretty good option if you want to play a "vanilla" server. At least more vanilla than zarp now.

Well for everyone saying just go play FP. FP and Zarp is not the same, and everyone knows that its a huge differnece, FP is a very inactive community Zarp is not. I was hoping to take it back to everything before all these special printers and weapons and suits and shit
