I am aware that my activity does look fairly low, but I have explained to the owner that my internet was under maintenance. My activity will now be rising as the maintenance is complete.
Estimated Server Time: 164.8 hours (9888 minutes)
Languages I speak: Fluent English and Welsh, and basic French.
How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:
Since I received admin, I have gotten closer to all of the staff team. So much, that some staff members feel safe to ask me any questions about punishments and rules, or general questions about the server. I have learned all the rules and I feel confident in enforcing them, and punishments that go along with breaking them. My time as admin has boosted my confident so much that after two years, I'm finally applying for SA.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? (In this part you can go as detailed as you want):
I feel I would make a good candidate as I am close to all of the staff team. I am able to help the staff with any queries they have, or if they want some help/feedback. Over the past month, I have been helping the Lead Team talk to the staff members that may have required a bit of a confidence boost or help with administrating/moderating by going over the rules and the punishments that follow.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
I haven't had a situation like this in my time of being an administrator, as all situations I have been in I have been able to deal with them up to standard without Lead Team help.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
I would firstly make sure that the report against the staff member followed the official forums template. If it didn't, I would reply to the post with the template and ask them to fill it in. If it did, I would get both the staff member that has been reported and the user that reported them into a Teamspeak channel, where I can talk to them both at the same time. I would let both of the users say their side of the story one at a time, and judge the situation. I would review the proof and, depending on my opinion, I would either;
A. Talk to the staff member about their behaviour.
B. Explain to the user how the staff member didn't abuse.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
I would approach the staff member in a private chat (Teamspeak channel or Steam chat, for example). I would say that in my opinion I don't agree with the ban length. I would go over the reason that the staff member has banned the user (for LTAP, mass rule break, etc) and discuss whether they feel that the ban length is correct. After conversing, I would talk to the staff member to see if they understand the mistake, and ask if they want me to shorten the ban time.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
Depending on how bad the situation is, I would either;
A. Message in the admin chat how the staff member should resolve the issue with the user.
B. Step in myself and help with the appropriate manner.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
I would firstly like to see any proof they have against the staff member that may have broken rules. If they have proof, I would review it to see what exactly happened. Depending on the proof, I would either;
A. Talk to the staff about their behaviour and remind them that they should be enforcing the rules and not breaking them.
B. Tell the staff member that accused the other to talk to a Lead Time member directly if they had a problem with another staff member.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and/or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
I would firstly ask them to not be disrespectful and respect one another. A staff team cannot work it's best if they are arguing. I would then say that if a staff member has an issue with another staff member to talk to Lead Team member about it, to help solve the issue.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I would privately message/talk to them about their behaviour. I would remind them that as a staff member they should be enforcing the rules, not breaking them.
Thank you for reading my application!
Shoutout to Hellforce and Lemon for telling me to go for SA <3
