Note that I only play on S1, I dislike Rockford and Evocity and have lag issues aswell.
Estimated Server Time: I had around 20 - 30 hours in 2013, (I can't find the trackers sadly,
but i assume the fact that I already registered in 2013 makes it quite believable.
I do however need to mention that alot has changed since then.)
Around 55 - 65 in total now. Probably be more since i mostly play Citizen / Cop / Miner.
Languages I speak:German, Fluent Englisch
Explain "Random Deathmatch" and give an example scenario:
RDM is short for „Random Death Match“, it is the act of engaging a Deathmatch - fight without any valid roleplay reason. Any type of damage traded between two or more players is considered a DM fight,
this includes entity damage, prop damage & co.
Damaging or killing someone by accident is not an excuse and is still punishable.
Example 1:
A Stranger bumps into Bob, Bob proceeds to kill him.
That would've been RDM, because Bob had no reason to kill him whatsoever.
Example 2:
Rick just killed Bob because the Stranger he killed was his friend.
A Police Officer comes up and approaches Rick for 30 seconds, Rick decides to kill the Police Officer and does so.
That would'nt have been RDM, the Polie Officer was clearly approaching Rick with the intention to arrest him.
Example 3:
While Rick shot the Police Officer to death, he accidentally hit James in the chest.
That would've been „attempted RDM“ because accidental kill count as RDM aswell, however a soft punishment is more appropiate.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario:
The „new Life Rule“ (or in short „NLR“) applies after valid RP – deaths.
It forces the player to act as if he forgot everything from his past life, means that any actions regarding his past life are forbidden.
To prevent this the NLR – Rule also restricts you from going back to your scene of death for 3 minutes.
Exceptions are PD, Nuke and Bank raids.
Example 1:
Stephen successfully raided a base, at the cost of Timmys death.
Timmy angrily returns to the base within a minute and kills Stephen.
That would've been NLR. He is not allowed to return to his district of death within 3 minutes.
Example 2:
Denis was just RDM'ed by a Stranger. Denis lost his Health Charger there. He submits a Report via the F1 Menu and returns to his scene of death to pick up his Charger.
That would't have been NLR, since his reason of death wasn't valid.
Example 3:
Marc died during a valid police raid.
After his death, Marc runs up to one of the Officers and insults him for raiding his base.
That would've been NLR, Marc is supposed to act as if he can't remember anything from his past life.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would first either pm player x to ask him if i may bring him to a roof for his F1 Report, or
teleport to him to ask.
Once we are on a roof i ask for a detailed explanatory of what happened.
I check the timestamps of the kill and other relevant logs aviable, to make sure his story could be true.
Once that is confirmed i use the same method to bring the accused player y to the sit.
I ask him for his side of the story aswell, again, here i check whether his story could be true. If he admits I give him a verbal warning or a rougher punishment depending on his behaviour, if he denies i ask the reporter x for valid proof.
If he can't provide I can either try applying a method (E.g.: telling the accused player that he provided valid proof and that his punishment will be softer if he admits now) or I end the sit, but keep an eye on him if I'm sure he's guilty.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
As before I bring the accuser and accused to a roof and ask both sides for their story (preferable seperated). I check logs to see if their explanatories could be true.
If player y admits I give him a warning / other punishment depending on his behaviour.
If he denies I ask player x for valid proof. If he can provide proof i proceed with confronting player y with it, and punish him depending on his behaviour.
If player x cannot provide proof I can either try further with previously said methods, or let him go.
Before i explain why I should be chosen I want to add this subtitle:
Why i want to become a Moderator:
Some may ask why i even want to become a Moderator, it can be tough and I don't even agree much with the Ethos. However thats exactly one of the things that make me want it.
I've been Staff on many servers for a long time, when I joined Zarp i never intended to ever apply for Mod, but after seeing how many new things I learned and can learn, with all the new features and a new map, I became really motivated to become a member of staff again. I've never seen a server using such soft methods, and I'd really like to see how i get along with it, how it works. I'm sure I won't get bored with it, honestly. Unlike other Communities, this one provides updates, which bring more things to learn and work with. Another factor is the current amount of rulebreakers of course, I would love to help out regarding those problems as much as I can.
Why I should be chosen:
I think I could be a good addition to the staff team because i would bring some „fresh wind“ into the team. I'm a rather oldschool – style staff. I have alot of experience with being staff on DarkRP Servers.
I first played DarkRP on Zarp, in March 2013. To be honest I didn't like the server much back then, so I went to other servers. I was Admin on "Urban Gamers" aswell as on „Crystal Gaming“ (later on „Final Fusion RP“), nowadays it's called „Civil Gamers“ and is fairly well known. I was Co-Owner of a DarkRP and WW2RP Server (with my brother), I did the Community Management. After a big pause I became Admin on „Hyplex.co“. I'm a rather serious, shy person, I'm also a perfectionist. but I also gained team work and lead qualities thanks to my Competitive Team Fortress 2 experience. I am on every day (there is a 2 days gap due to my upcoming birthday) for several hours, and am very active on the forums aswell. I believe i have managed to prove that I'm able to judge rationally and without any bias. Would also like to mention that I've never been punished in any form, no verbals / recents.
Constructive Feedback is greatly wished and appreciated, as i spent alot of time working on this Application.
