TOPIC: [Deathrun Admin] TheXnator's Application

The ban command is a last resort command. It should only be used in a situation where it is absolutely necessary, and when there is not another way to get the user to follow the rules. An example of when you could use the ban command would be if a user had 10+ recent punishments. In this situation, you should tell the player that if they get another warning then they would be banned. If the user continued to get another warning, they could then be banned. The length of the ban would depend on their recent punishments and whether they had any other recent bans. Usually, if they just had 10 recent punishments, then a one day ban (1440 minutes) would suffice.




When I was first a Moderator, I never really came across any overly difficult situations, and currently I am applying from user, but a hypothetical situation which a Moderator could struggle with would be as follows: If a user were consitently coming on the server and constantly breaking rules, and clearly not learning from their punishments. This user could be constantly trap spamming, trap stealing, micspamming, chat spamming etc. and not listening to staff when told to stop / punished for their actions. A way to get around this situation would be to first of all just start with minor punishments such as mutes / slays, and then start to warn them after they did it again after 1 or 2 punishments. After being warned 3 times, the user would be automatically kicked from the server. If the user then came back and joined, constantly causing issues again, then the user could just be given another warning, and a one hour ban would be placed on them. If, after this, the user came back and did the same thing over and over, the Moderator could then message an Admin on Steam / Teamspeak and ask them to hop online to help out and place a longer ban on the user for them to learn to stop breaking rules.




I believe that I should be chosen for the position of Admin on Deathrun for a multitude of reasons. For a start, I am a very trusted and experienced member of the community and the Deathrun server. I am currently the Server Owner of the Prophunt and the Murder server, a Head Admin on TTT, Forum staff in the Prophunt and Murder section and Teamspeak staff. I was also previously an admin on Deathrun itself. I believe that this would make me a good candidate because it shows that I am trusted with powers in the community. This also means that I know what I am doing on Deathrun and in terms of staffing in great detail, and I will be able to handle almost any situation that could arise for a staff member with ease. As a staff member on Deathrun in the past, there was a lot that I wanted to do in order to help out with the server and to help it advance, but I was too busy back then to actually put in more than just staffing. I would like to be able to help out more on the server this time, and to do my job as best as I can as a staff member, and to possibly help out around the server in any other way that would be useful. Furthermore, I am a very kind, patient and fair person. I always follow the staff ethos as best as I can, and I will always listen to people and try to help them to the best of my ability, even if it is not something that would be required of me as a staff member. I believe that I would make a good staff member on Deathrun once again and that I would be able to make a good contribution in order to help the server to advance and grow, and to help out as much as possible on the server.

I dont see you as a good staff member for the Deathrun team. Plus, you time farm the majority of the time you're online on Deathrun.

Hey Xnator I Will Be Looking At Your Administrator Application Today, I Will List The Positives And Negatives About You And Follow It Up With a Conclusion:

Positives:
- Staff And Owner On Multiple Servers.
- Respectful.
- shows a knowledge of the rules

Negatives:
- Not The Best game Time ( no points gained during that time Time Farming?)
- He Abused His Powers On SSRP ( i know it was a bit ago but we need to keep it in mind)

Conclusion:
In conclusion i think you should wait another week or two to show you want to be staff on this server, because you only have 4 days of activity 2 of them have no points which could suggest time farming, also the only time i saw you on you was continuously spamming web taunts and was told several times to stop. I think you need to wait a week or two for your game time and make sure it is consistent. Also your images are a bit too big, maybe make them smaller so it doesn't make your application look bloated. But honestly to me it doesn't look like you care too much about the game mode or being staff so just try to get your GT up and also try not to afk as much. ( and try not to spam taunts xD).

Last time you was staff you only just got the 2 hours required per week, showing an extreme lack of interest and dedication to the game mode and server, you only kept the rank so he could have all the badges.

In response to the fact that you believe low score means time farming, score is gained from kills in GMod (and I believe you also gain score from completing a map). As someone who is pretty shit amazing at the game, I do not tend to gain much score, as I tend not to complete maps ( ). In terms of being demoted on SSRP, I believe you are mistaken. I have never been demoted from any server.

As for the gametracker, look at the comparison of activity to the points. You have barely any score and lots of time, this can suggest time farming.

As I previously stated, there have been a few times where I have been AFK for various reasons (however when I was AFK this morning, I was not in spectator mode). During this time, I do usually still have the game open on one of my screens, or the game sound still active so that I know what is going on, or so that I am able to sort anything out if needed. On the topic of score, as I stated before I am unable to get any score if I am unable to complete any maps or get any direct kills (not kills from traps).

I understand that there may be concern, but I hope to be able to prove to you throughout the course of the week that this is not how things are by minimising / eliminating time spent AFK. I will attempt to always be playing and interacting actively whenever I am ingame from now on.
