Steam Name: |Z| Aek177[Ss]
Time Zone: UTC +/- 0 (UK Time) Link to Steam Profile: steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198157345781/ What server are you applying for?: Murder SteamID: STEAM_0:1:98540026 Current Gametracker Profiles: Gametracker Profile Estimated Server Time: 44 hours Languages I speak: I speak fluent English and some basic Spanish How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator: I feel that my time as Admin has got me more involved with the community and I now know the Staff Team on the Murder server better. I have interacted more and been able to do a lot more, but want to take it a step further to help as much as I can. It has made me be able to learn to deal with situations better and more affectively aswell. What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? (in this part you can go as detailed as you want): Activity: I am very active when I can be, I do have to balance my activity with SSRP, but when I am not bust there I am always able to help on Murder. I come on for the required 3 hours at least and do a lot more on top of that. Aswell as that I am active on TeamSpeak and the Forums. On TS I try and talk to other staff and users to get to know them better. On the forums I am always looking out for any reports or appeals made that I could handle/deal with. Trust: Because I also hold a staff position on SSRP, this shows I can be trusted with staff powers there aswell as Murder. This would also benefit as Super Admin is a big responsibility and needs trust to be given this position. I think this is also helped by my activity which shows how much I enjoy the server and want to help. Dedication: I have been staff on multiple other servers and have held Moderator x2, Admin x2, Super Admin x1 and Server Manager x1. This shows even more trust on these communities and shows how I am willing to be dedicated and manage to achieve these positions which involves Trust and Activity aswell. Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available: I once had a report made about another Admin abusing on the server, I therefore had to report it to a Super Admin or Head Admin so they could deal with it and see what truly happened. However as a Super Admin I could deal with the situation effectively and make sure whatever was happening didn't continue or happen again. Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member: If there was an Abuse report made on another staff member I would look at the report and see if the reason for the report was valid. I would then see what the staff member is accused of doing (Abuse of powers etc) and talk to them in private about it. I would then see if their story matches up with any evidence from the report. If it is a valid report I would bring it up in the Lead Team meeting and deliver a suitable punishment. I would respond to the report as follows: Accepted: Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Hello there [player's name]. I have reviewed the evidence (if any) given and have also talked to the staff member reported. I am going to be Accepting this report and will be dealing with the staff member appropriately and will also bring it up at the Lead Team Meeting. Thank you for making a report! . Thread Lock please. Denied: Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Hello there [player's name]. I have reviewed your report and have talked to the staff member about this. I will be denying your report because there is no evidence and the staff member has given a different story to yours. Please when making a report in future gather any evidence you can. Thank you for making a report! Thread lock please. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly? I would ask the staff member if they know how long the user should be banned for and ask them why the ban time they dealt was acceptable. If it was an excessive amount of time I would tell them to consult a Lead Team member if unsure of how long to ban for and reduce the Player who got banned's time. I would also edit the ban to make sure it is the correct amount of time so the user doesn't have to wait longer than necessary. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation? I would talk to the staff member and tell them how to improve when dealing with users. When dealing with users you should come across polite and be as helpful as you can. You should not take sides and be a "Neutral" handler towards whatever has happened. Make sure when dealing with users this is an approach you use to make them feel welcome in the community and that they are dealt with professionally. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation? I would talk to the staff member who is accusing the other. I would ask what for them, the other staff member is breaking and then would go and ask the other staff member for his or her side of it. If the other staff member was breaking a rule or rules I would tell them what rule they are breaking is and tell them to not break anymore rules. I would then also bring it up at the Lead Team meeting for a sensible punishment. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation? If they started being aggressive towards other staff, I would try and calm them down. Once calmed down I would tell them that we deal with each other politely like we do when dealing with users. I would then make sure everyone else has calmed down and talk to the staff member who sparked it all in the first place. I would also bring it up in the Lead Team meeting to decide a sensible punishment. After all we all work as a team and need to work efficiently or else the community isn't happy. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member? I would first off talk to the staff member as quickly as I can and tell them what rule(s) they are breaking. I would then apologise to any users affected to make sure they are not upset by this wrong doing. Once this part has been resolved I would tell them to re-read the rules and ask any questions about them to the Lead Team. I would then bring this up in the Lead Team meeting to decide a sensible punishment and to make sure it doesn't happen again. Thank you for reading my application and any constructive feedback would be appreciated! I also know that this was my first week as Admin, but feel I have learnt a lot that I can deal with for the position of SA! Especially now that we have no Lead Team members! |
