Introduction
Welcome dear team member, random person, the random person's pet or anyone else who stumbled across this topic,
My name is fexod and hereby I apply to become a moderator on Zarp Gaming's TTT Server.
Why excactly I decided to do that and why I think I would make a good addition to the team is what I will try to explain while at the same time not exaggerating with the amount of sentences I am about to stuff in your beautiful faces!
At the latter I will fail horribly.

Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:
Random Deathmatch (
RDM) is a commonly occuring situation during TTT rounds in which a player (most commonly innocents) shoot at or kill one or more innocent players and/or detectives (Traitors
mostly on accident or out of luck) without having a valid reason to do so.
My example scenario for RDM goes as follows:
The round starts.
Player A [Detective] picks up an M24 and watches the top of the light house through it's scope from the beach
Player B [Innocent] also picks up an M24 and climbs up to the top of the light house, hoping to spot traitors doing their dirty work in their line of sight.
Player A [Detective] sees
Player B [Innocent] through their scope aswell as them also carrying an M24. Knowing that traitors often climb on top of the tower to snipe people
Player A [Detective] decides to kill
Player B [Innocent] the second they take a look through their scope.
Neither a person being at a certain location nor them carrying a certain weapon is reason enough to open fire on them, thus Player A commited RDM.
Give three examples of an acceptable KOS and its scenario:
#1:
A player entered a Traitor-only-area (the little cave with the wooden door on mb5 for example).
There is not much of a scenario to give here, is it?
Player A [Traitor] enters the Traitor Room,
Player B [Innocent] sees it and calls a KOS on them and/or waits for Player A at the Nether Portal
#2:
A player kills another player for no valid reason and then leaves the scene without identifying the body.
Player C [Detective] watches
Player A [Traitor] walking up to
Player B [Innocent] and killing him.
As
Player A [Traitor] leaves the unidentified body of
Player B [Innocent] behind,
Player C [Detective] asks them why they killed that person while identifying their body.
Player A [Traitor] lies about themself only fighting back, so
Player C [Detective] tells them that he watched what happened, kalls a KOS on them and (maybe) runs after him to finish him off.
#3:
A player plants and activates C4.
Player A [Traitor] walks into the little cabin in the middle of mb5 (called "mid") and plants and activates a C4 explosive.
Player B [Innocent] watches them through one of the windows.
Knowing that only a traitor would have interest in planting and activating a C4 explosive (innocents as well as detectives would simply destroy it) they immediately call a KOS on
Player A [Traitor] and go for the kill as soon as they hear the C4's beeping noise and/or see the C4's timer turn on.
Give two examples of unacceptable KOS and their scenarios:
#1:
A player is at a certain location (probably at the wrong time)
Player A [Traitor] stands on top of the light house with their M24 and tries to snipe people down below.
Player C [Detective] hears the shooting sound of the M24 and enters the tower as
Player A [Traitor] jumps off of it.
Player C [Detective] meets
Player B [Innocent] at the second floor of the light house, since
Player B [Innocent] also carries an M24,
Player C [Detective] assumes that
Player B [Innocent] is the traitor who shot from the top of the light house and was just on their way down, so they immediately call a KOS on them and open fire.
#2:
A player has the same character model as a traitor
Player A [Traitor] (Disguised) stands on top of the light house with their Poison Dart Rifle and poisons
Player C [Detective] with a body shot.
Player C [Detective] looks at the light house and sees
Player A [Traitor] (Disguised) but cannot see their name as they are using a disguiser to hide their identity. It is still visible however that
Player A [Traitor] (Disguised) uses the Skeleton Player Model.
A view minutes later
Player C [Detective] sees
Player B [Innocent] and notices that they too use the Skeleton Player Model, so they assume that
Player B [Innocent] is the traitor who shot them from the tower earlier and thus call a KOS on them and open fire immediately.
Why I should be chosen:
As of how I see it there are a good number of reasons why I should be chosen to become a moderator - here are the ones that I think are the most significant:
I have already gathered a pretty high play time considering how long ago I found this server, I sometimes spend well over 4 hours playing on Zarp Gaming's TTT Server on a day (which I am not excactly proud of, it is just an indicator that I would be a quite active mod).
Furthermore I spent over ten years in a marching band in my region now and during that time I have taught many beginners that came to us how to play the instrument they wished to learn, how to read musical notes, how to march properly and multiple tips and hints here and there.
Literally speaking: I am a mentor - that's just how I am. Spreading knowledge and awareness entertains me in addition to being one of my everyday goals. This has lead me to write numerous guides, tier list, improvement suggestions, challenges and even character- and item concepts for many games, just because I love contributing to the communities behind the medium that I love: Video Games.
On every single Metin2 Private Server (I don't blame you if you don't know that game) that I played on so far I always took the times to answer other user's questions via private messages or the call chat while I was farming for items or leveling and even applied for TGM (Trial Game Master) on two of them - both times however it did not quite work out for me because the staff was either unfriendly or though that I did not want the position enough, this never prevented me from kepping on doing the game master's job whenever none of them were online.
Whenever I know the answer to a question I have to say it, I just can't help it - even if I wanted to.
It already became clear to me that this side of me translates well to the tasks of a moderator on Zarp's TTT Server.
It happened a view times now that no staff was online, people were mass RDMing and I felt horrible for not being able to put an end to this, which leads me to a small confession I have to make simply because I want to prevent everyone from running into bad surprises with me: I easily get frustraded when negative things are out of my control.
I am sure this is by far my worst characteristic. Whenever something really annoys me, makes me sad, hurts me or does so for others and I there is no way I can change it to the better the whole situation enrages me to unbelievable levels.
There were a good number of incidents where I lost any rational thought for a second and just mindlessly insulted people for RDMing me even though I was proven or not being willing to stop accusing me of rdm even though I clearly stated why it was ok for me to take action and kill them.
From the experiences that I gained in moderating positions (in forums for excample) I can however assure that anything alike will not happen if I were to become a moderator. Even though I am normally very rash in situations like the ones stated above I always manage to control my anger and behave myself if the situation requires me to do so.
Never have I insulted anybody or treated them when it was my duty to take care of them or supervise them and I will not start doing that here - that is a promise you can count on.
Generally speaking: I am here to help the community with advice and supervision and the staff by being a helping hand people can count on. It is not my intention to become a moderator so I have more powers than others.
final words
phew, that text got way longer than I intended it to be and I probably made many grammar and spelling mistakes - please forgive me for that. By the time I wrote this I have been sleep deprived for almost 20 hours (I will probably go to bed the second I am done writing this.)
As my final words please allow me to make one last thing clear: no matter If I will become a moderator or not, I will continue supporting my fellow TTT players either way. I just wish to become a moderator so I get access to the tools required to do that as efficiently as I desire.
I hope you did not suffer to much from my way too long, repetetive application and maybe even enjoyed a view things about it.
