So I want to be there for for the staff team as I know the problems with needing Lead team and none being there to help. I have tried to help staff as much as possible when I have the time. I want to be there for staff members to help with disputes and everything else I want to help like Raeker does. At one point I was thinking about leaving Zarp but by making a stupid joke I stayed. I remember this because it really helped me this was when SA apps needed to be open and when it opened I messaged Johnler saying 'if i got 80 hrs this weak will i get SA' he then took my into a spacer after the meeting and said 'activity is one of the many things we look for but only having activity isn't good enough you need to be active in the community help staff...' and because of this I started going for SA once more grinding out hours and hoping soon SA apps will open. I have been staff for 5 months now when I saw that I was really surprised as I cant believe it has been that long and I hope I have built up enough trust with the community to get this promotion. This 5 months have been extremely enjoyable and I want to stay for much longer but for the rest I want to be there to help the staff team and not only the users. What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want): I try to be extremely active on Teamspeak so if anyone would need help they could poke me and I would be there to help. This has happened multiple times with Morgan where he poked me to go on TTT I know I didn't go on instantly because I was in the middle of a league game but when it finished I joined TTT to try and help. I try to be friendly to everyone in the community. People make mistakes and you need to forgive them for it so I try to be more lenient in my punishments if the person gives a proper response I would usually open a chat so I can explain the situation to the victim better and clear up my version of the story so I can give a more fair punishment. I try to be helpful if people ask me any question in chat I will try to answer it as fast as possible so I can continue with my job and they don't need to wait to have a fix to their problem. I will fspec myself if need be to find someone who is stuck so I can tp them or if someone is spamming while dead. I might not be the most active on forums or on the server but I care for the staff team. There are many problems and I want to help fix them. I'll be honest I might not add most users if the try to add me on steam but I will accept any staff member so I can be there if they need any help at anytime. I have wanted SA since I started as mod as I look up to the people that trained me and I want to be that person to other staff members someone who is a role model and I will try to be better so the staff team have a goal to strive for. One of my biggest role models on Zarp is Raeker he is really active and helpful LT member I see him constantly helping staff and users and that is the goal I strive for. Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available: I'm taking the easy and hard route here. On multiple occasions I have seen people pull off insane shots and I needed to get LT on to anti cheat them. This is annoying and most times the hacker isn't a hacker or has left the server so it just wastes the LT members time. Now the one where I put a lot of time into. There was two member of the community who got into an argument. I went to speak with both until we found a compromise and eventually they properly talked and this 'grudge' was over. This would've been much easier as a lead team member as they would've known I was trusted in the community and that would've given me a better chance of getting them to talk about it. Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member: I would go and confirm the evidence provided if the evidence seems to be true .I would try to get both the user and staff member on TS. First I would privately speak to both to find out their side of the story. Option A : The stories match up I then get both members in a spacer and explain what I think of the situation then I let them speak whether agreeing or disagreeing with my points. Then after fully confirming the story I would deem if the staff member is guilty or innocent. After my verdict has been cast if the staff member is guilty I would get the staff member in a spacer and speak to him/her about their punishment if this is their first accepted report abuse it would be something minor along the lines of a speaking to. If more are accepted then it would be a official warn then demote vote in LT meeting. Option B :the stories don't match I find out which of them is lying. If it is the user I would deny the report abuse and punish the user if it isn't the first time he falsely reported staff. If it is the staff member I would give him/her a harsher punishment for lying after being confronted with proof. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly? After a ban appeal has been made on forums I would research the evidence provided and also use the logs and other means to either confirm the story or find out it's false. If the evidence provided is indeed true I would first ask the staff member to go on TS. We would then discuss the reason behind the persons ban. I would then speak to the staff member about reasonable ban times. If I feel that the reason for the ban isn't enough for the length of the ban I would discuss with the staff member about lowering the ban time on the user as it is excessively long and I would recommend a more reasonable time. If the staff member justifies the ban length I would deny the appeal. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation? If it is in the private report chat I would join the chat, read what was said and then give the staff member some hints on how to deal with the situation. If the user doesn't agree with the staff members verdict i would step in and justify it. If it is in normal chat I would pm the user about what the problem is and then help the staff member defuse the situation and help the user with whatever problem s/he was having. If the user was just trying to start an argument I would ask the user to stop and I would tell them if they continue the will be muted/gagged as they are starting an argument. If the staff member was disrespectful I would get the staff member on TS and speak to him/her about why they were disrespectful and how to handle the situation properly next time. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation? I would ask both member to go on TS. I would put us three into a spacer and ask where the staff member is getting the evidence for the accusations he is making. If the staff member did not have any evidence I would ask the other staff member if they did truly break these rules hoping they would be honest. If the accusations are denied I would ask both members to not hold a grudge against each other. If the staff member has proof I would confront the staff member on breaking these rules but not admit to having proof. If the staff member lies I would bring them up for an official warn. If the staff member admits to what he has done depending on severity and how many times this has happened it would range from a talking to to an official warn. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation? I would first speak to the victim on his side of the story. Then I would speak with the accused. If the accused is admitting to his mistakes and is genuinely sorry for the problems he has caused I would get him to apologize to the staff member and ask both members of staff to not hold a grudge against each other. If this is not the first time and the staff member continues to disrespect other staff I would bring up the staff member for an official warn. If the accused staff is still disrespectful and not admitting of his mistakes I would bring him up for an official warn. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member? If the staff member is blatantly abusing I would get a HA to emergency demote the staff member. If the staff member doesn't seem to know he is abusing I would get him/her on TS explain to him/her the situation s/he is in and request s/he not do it again. I would bring them up for an official if this is not the first time they have abused. If this is the first time and the staff member is sorry about his/her actions a verbal warning would be enough. Extra information: I know there are many LT members but I don't think having more trusted members in the community is a bad thing. I really want this promotion so I can help the staff team as I am active and I'll try my best at staying active. I spent 3-4 hours on this application as I want the best chance at SA I can get. So please don't it because there are too many LT members. Give me proper criticism so I can improve and eventually get SA. Also I'm going to try and be more active on forums. I usually don't know what to write I read a lot of the posts but I don't really know how to respond to them quickly. So when I do respond I take my time and so I make less posts but I also don't love the forums I prefer the server and TS |
