Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:
Explain- is When player X kills player Y with no reason.
Example- Player X was walking down Residential/Electric District Tunnel and Player Y comes up to them and kills them without a reason.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario:
Explain- New Life Rule- When you go to the same district where you last died (when your NLR timer is ongoing) or remembering things from your past life.
Example- Player X kills Player Y. Player Y returns to his death point and avenges his death by killing Player X.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player X accuses Player Y for RDMing him, the console log shows that Player Y killed Player X.- I would go to Player X and state "Hello, I am here for your F1, how many I help?" and I would bring them to a safe place to do the sit, e.g a roof. After I have heard Player X's side of the story I would go to Player Y and tell them that they are needed for a sit. If Player Y was busy e.g. Raiding, Mugging, etc I would allow them to finish what they are doing, but if they were not busy then I would bring them to a sit. After hearing Player Y's side of the story (as I have already heard Player X's side) I would then check the logs for evidence. After seeing that Player Y did in fact kill Player X I would then ask Player X if he has any screenshots, recordings, etc. If the answer is no and the stories do not match up, I can not assume it was RDM (as Player X could have shot Player Y, which does not appear as there are no damage logs, therefore making it self defense, not RDM). If the stories match, and Player Y admits it was RDM I would check if he has any recent warnings for RDM, and if he does not I will give them a verbal warning, but if they do have a recent warning for RDM, I will give them another warning. If Player X does have evidence which shows Player Y killed them without reason, I would then warn Player Y for RDM.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player X accuses Player Y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time. I would go to Player X and state "Hello, I am here for your F1, how many I help?". I would then continue to take Player X to a roof, or a place safe to do the sit. After hearing Player X's side of the story I would go to Player Y, and tell them that they are needed for a sit. If they are busy I would wait for them to finish what they are doing, but if they were not busy I would bring them to the sit. I would then ask for Player Y's side of the story. If the stories match up and Player Y admits to breaking NLR, I would then continue to check if they have any recent warning for NLR. If they did not I would give them a verbal, but if they had a recent warning for NLR, I would give them a warning. If Player Y's and Player X's stories did not match up I would ask Player X for any evidence e.g. Screenshots, Recording, etc. If they have no evidence I would not be able to assume it was NLR, as the kill that was very close to the other kill in the logs could have happened in a different district, for a different reason e.g. Self Defense. If Player X has sufficient evidence which shows Player Y breaking NLR, I would then proceed to check Player Y's recent warnings. If they had a recent warning for NLR I would warn them for NLR, but if they didn't have a recent warning I would give them a verbal warning.
Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words):
I believe I should be chosen for staff as I have played Zarp for a very long time now, and am quite well known in the community. I should be chosen for staff because I fully understand that staff are the backbone of any server, and without them every server would be chaos, so I would like to help to reduce the amount of "chaos" on Zarp. I used to not fully understand the rules, and used to break the all the time because of this, but I have changed my attitude and now follow the rules and enjoy RPing. Although I enjoy RPing I fully understand that my role of staff would be very important, and I would be willing to go on duty at most times. A lot of the time players complain that staff are not handling F1's very well, or that they want their F1 to be handled, and I want to fix this. I want to make sure every player gets justice, and that rule breakers are punished accordingly as they do not deserve to have the privilege of playing on Zarp, if they are not going to respect the community of it. I can be very serious, and handle F1's very quickly. As I have had a lot of past staff experience on many different servers, I understand how to handle most players (and especially minges) quickly, and efficiently. I am quite polite, and respectful. I will always obey commands from higher staff if necessary, and am always open to new advice on how I can do my job better. I believe I should be chosen for staff because I am great
