RP Name:
Mr Skeng Time Zone: BST+0 Link to Steam Profile: steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198082388407/ SteamID: STEAM_0:1:61061339 Current Gametracker Profiles: Server 1 - www.gametracker.com/player/MikeL/darkrp.zarpgaming.com:27015/ Server 2 - www.gametracker.com/player/MikeL/darkrp.zarpgaming.com:27025/ Server 3 - N/A Estimated Server Time: 42 hours Languages I speak: English Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario: Random Death Match or "RDM" is the act of killing another player in the server for a reason that is not justified within a roleplay scenario. Killing a play for an RP related reason that is not permitted within the rules also counts as "RDM." An example of the first scenario would be someone who pulls out an m249 and kills everyone in spawn, an example of the second would be that a person kills all the players in a casino because he's role playing a religious extremist who hates gambling. An example of a roleplay related kill would be a hitman killing his target. Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario: New Life Rule is a rule that keeps RP realistic by having each play who dies have to forget the knowledge gained in a previous life as well as not being able to return to the same general area within a three minute time period. These general areas are shown on the top of the HUD after death. An example of this could be a police officer arresting the man who killed him for no reason other than his death in a past life or an angered shop owner who returns to his shop to kill those who raided it after dieing. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x. I'd begin by going to player x and asking him if he was available to carry out a sit and describe the situation in which he claimed to be RDMed to me. Once he'd explained the situation, if his story describes RDM and not a kill with an RP reason that he was unaware of, i'd go to player y and ask him if he was able to go into a sit to describe his side of the story. I'd then ask player y if he'd killed player x with the knowledge that he had, if player y admitted to doing it i'd ask why he did it and verify that the given reason is allowed within the rules. If it was allowed i'd ask player x if this reason was true and if he said yes i'd return both players, if he said no i'd ask for proof since the logs could no longer provide sufficient evidence and if it was given i'd set two warns on player y; one for lying to a mod and the other for rdm. If player y had responded to my first question by saying he had not killed him i'd issue the same punishment as the fact player y had killed x could be backed by the logs. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time. Judging by how close the lines are in the logs (especially since server 1 can peak at over 100 players) i could easily determine that player y has broken NLR. Therefore much like in the other scenario, I'd go to player x and ask him if he was available to carry out a sit, i'd then bring him and do the same thing with player y. Once they were both in a sit i'd ask player y if he'd killed player x within three minutes of being killed by him, if he said yes i'd start by warning him for NLR and i'd then return player x, before returning player y i'd ask if he knew what NLR was and if he didn't i'd explain it like i have in the above question. However if he said no i'd issue him with two warns, one for NLR and the other for lying to a mod. I'd also keep a closer eye on this player since he is obviously breaking rules intentionally. Why I should be chosen (we recommend around 150 words): This is a server with a large and dedicated player base along with an addon list that helps to make the server extremely unique and in that regard the server cannot be beaten. However i cannot describe the amount of times that i've made and f1 request and been responded to long after i've forgotten the situation myself, any player will back me in saying f1 responses are too long and any staff member would agree with the fact that low staff activity has resulted in workloads that are too large for them to handle. In that regard there are new communities that can respond to rulebreaks faster than this server, especially a peak times. I have looked over other accepted and denied staff applications and to my knowledge it is recommended that the applicant has two weeks of activity, however considering how long my play sessions are and the situation i've talked about above, I believe i should be chosen to help combat in what my opinion is the most prominent issue that the server faces. This is strengthened by the fact that overall on gmod i have 3800+ hours and have moderated on servers with every gamemode along with varyingly useful anticheat and log systems and therefore i believe i will be able to help with the heavy workload that moderators face daily. |

Me trying to defend my friend isn't being "involved" with a scammer, and this is like comments on other apps that talk about peoples gang being rulebreakers... Thanks for the feedback anyway. |

Thanks for applying for staff at ZARP DarkRp! During our weekly staff meeting your application, question answers, game trackers and in-game warnings are checked and then the staff team votes on your application. This time, the staff team have decided that you still need to work on your application and then apply again next week. To try and help you they have summarised some positives & negatives discussed during the meeting: Recent Punishments and we recommend two weeks of consistent activity. You can apply again at any time, and thanks for supporting ZARP! |
