During the time as Admin and I have connected with different players, some who do and some who don’t want to be staff, on teamspeak and in game for those that don’t go on teamspeak. I have also interacted with different regular users on the server that usually contact me at night time hours to help take care of RDMers terrorizing the server as most staff aren't on at those hours. I am also very active on the forums and would be available to handle abuse reports on other staff members. I believe my experience as an administrator is shown through my interaction with staff and players, and my experiences handling different situations. What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team?: I am always trying to help other people as much and as fairly as possible. I have some players come to me with questions about how to apply for staff and I always try to help them to the best of my ability, so they can get their chance at being staff just as everyone else has. I have very good activity in game and play at least one hour a day(inactive for like 4 days because of vacation, but plan to play everyday this week) and try to play more because I really enjoy Murder as a game and staffing on it, and I do many reports. I can often be found on teamspeak, but most of the staff besides the night time staff don't see me as I am American so it is usually very late on server time although I am on teamspeak most of the day on weekends. I am also a Super Administrator on TTT and I feel this shows I already have some experience as LT and that I can handle it. I put a lot of time and effort into staffing and I believe that makes me a good candidate for Super Administrator. Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available: I do not believe there has really been a big obstacle. Once the staff team gets bigger however, one of my most common obstacles as an Admin on TTT will start occurring. Late at night for me there would be no Super Admins on, and once and awhile staff members would break out into an argument on how a situation should have been handled. Because their would be no SA’s I would have to attempt to sort the issue out myself as peacefully as possible. Another issue is hacking, only Super Administrators have anti-cheat, and yes I know “Who hacks on Murder?”, but me and a few mod applicants have definitely seen some at night time. Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member: First, I would get in contact with both the user who reported the staff and the staff member who was reported. I would ask for both sides of the story and go from there. I would try to find any differences in the stories and if there are any I would try to clear them up before coming to a final decision. If the user can not provide enough proof against the staff member or if the staff member provides enough proof to counter the user's claim, the abuse report would be . However, if enough proof is supplied and the staff member is clearly in the wrong, action would be taken against the staff member once the report of abuse is Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: 'A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?' Well, first I would check in game to make sure that the appeal of the user matches what they were actually banned for in game. If it is I would try to get into contact with the staff member who dealt out the ban. I will try to talk to the staff member about what happened. If the user did not lie, put a lot of effort into their appeal, and seemed truly sorry, I will try to defend them while speaking with the staff member. If the staff member has a good argument about why the ban was fair and should stay, the appeal would be denied. However, if their argument is invalid or maybe the staff member even agrees that the ban was too long the appeal would be accepted. If this occurs I would either shorten the ban or remove it entirely. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: 'A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?' If a staff member is struggling to handle a user appropriately in game I would most likely try to help them through Admin Chat unless they were on Teamspeak with me. The staff member could be acting rudely or just not paying enough attention and I would try to correct their behavior/their course of action. If that does not help them and they are still struggling, I would try to address the situation personally because the user maybe the one starting the problem by trying to pick fights with the staff member. It really depends on the who is the main issue in the situation, if the staff member is just not handling the situation correctly I would try to advise them how to handle it correctly and appropriately, and if it is the user I would try help the user understand why they are being punished. Either way I would handle the situation to the best of my ability. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: 'A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?' These type of situations are a big problem. I would try to get in contact with both people as soon as possible. I will try to calm both staff members down so we can deal with the situation carefully, as these situations should be. If, for some reason they can't be calmed down, I will speak to them separately. First, I would ask the staff member accusing the other of breaking the rules and find out their side of the story and what they are blaming the other staff member for. Next, I would speak to the staff member being accused and listen to their side of the story. Instead of making my own opinion known right away I would try to see if the staff members can come to a peaceful conclusion on their own, if this is not possible I would give my own opinion on the matter. In conclusion, I would either tell the staff member that they broke the rules and how they should do it better, or tell the other staff member why what the accused person did was correct. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation? If a staff member is being disrespectful to another after being warned, I would take action as soon as possible. First, I would take them into a spacer on teamspeak and talk to them about it in a civil manner. Hopefully they will listen and stop being disrespectful to the other staff member. If I get informed that the staff member is doing it again, I would bring both the staff members into a spacer to try to sort out the situation. If the argument between the two can not be resolved on their own, I will give my own opinion and act accordingly. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: 'You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?' First, I would get the the staff member to come onto teamspeak immediately. While they are doing this, I would get evidence like pictures of what happened that they did indeed break rules to the point of harming other users and their enjoyment on the server. I would try to handle the situation on my own, but if that is not possible I would present the evidence to HA to ensure the proper course of action. Hopefully that won't have to happen, and I will just be able to make sure the staff never does that again. If this happens, I would keep a close eye on the staff in the future to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Extra information: I love the Murder gamemode! My main goal is to see this server succeed and thrive for a long time, and I feel being on the LT would be the best way for me to do that. At the time of this application I will have a 3-4 day gap in my activity due to vacation, but I believe the staff members, that know me, can vouch that I will have much more time by the time of the meeting next Sunday, as I am very active on the servers.
