Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
My past experience as not only a Moderator on Zarp SSRP three years ago, but also in all the staff ranks I've held during my time in Friendly Players like Flood Owner, DarkRP Head Administrator, and HL2:RP Super Administrator has allowed me to develop my administrative skills in Garry's Mod over a period of four+ years. As a result of all of that time as a staff member across multiple game modes I am extremely confident in my ability to handle any administrative situation that could come before me, and I believe I can make a positive difference on Zarp's SSRP servers should I be made an Administrator again.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
I remember as a Moderator I was dealing with a situation where one player was being constantly followed and bullied by another user who was using props to push him around, block him in areas, etc. while also attacking him verbally. However whenever I teleported to them the bullying user had already deleted the props and adamantly denied all the claims against him, so I was in a difficult position as a Moderator. I had to work with another Administrator who spectated them and eventually we were able to punish the bully accordingly. Had I been an Administrator at the time I could've easily handled the situation myself.
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Firstly I'd like to congratulate you on being accepted as a Moderator! Hopefully this brief introduction to your new powers and responsibilities will help you get started. You now have access to a bunch of powers that you can use to help handle administrative situations. These powers include Teleport, Slay, Warn, Freeze, and Kick. Starting with teleport (/tp steamid), this command teleports another player (or yourself) to your crosshair location, or wherever you're currently looking. There are also a couple other teleport commands, goto, bring, and back. Goto (/goto steamid) teleports you to a player's location. Bring (/bring steamid) brings a player to your location. Back (/back steamid) returns a player to the location they were at before they were teleported. These commands are extremely important to being a successful Moderator, as it's your way to travel to rooftops to deal with situations, and how to bring players to you who are involved in those situations. Next, slay (/slay steamid Normal/Silent/Rocket/Explosion) allows you to instantly kill a player. Freeze (/freeze steamid time), another important command, allows you to freeze a player in their current position for a certain amount of time. Finally, kick (/kick steamid) "kicks" or disconnects a player from the server. Most of these commands can be accessed in the tab menu when clicking on a player's name, but if you want to use the chat commands I'd advise you to use SteamIDs and not RP names, as it's the safest way to go about using your powers without mistakes. You also now have access to the F1 and F6 menus. The F1 menu is where you go to handle F1s, view recent warnings, and the server logs. The F6 menu can be used to view any player's warnings or punishments from all their time on Zarp SSRP servers. Hopefully this basic introduction helps you get started as a Moderator. Remember to always be professional when in administrative situations, and to always put in 100% effort! You can receive more training in-game, and you can always reach out to another member of the staff team with any further questions on your powers and responsibilities. Best of luck!
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Since this is the user's first ban I would accept the appeal, reducing their ban to a day or two while also being sure to explain to them that this behavior is unacceptable and won't be tolerated by the staff team. I would also be sure to watch the player if we were both online at the same time to make sure they aren't prop spamming again, or breaking other rules shortly after being unbanned.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words):
I believe I should be given the Administrator rank again for a few reasons. The first being I'm an American, and everybody knows that once it gets late in my time zone the servers turn to chaos since the majority of the staff team is offline during this time. I usually play pretty late into the night, so I think I can make a huge difference on the servers not only during these times but during peak hours as well. Secondly, I have a lot of experience administrating. I'm currently Community Ambassador of Friendly Players, which is equivalent to Zarp's Community Manager. Before receiving this rank I was Global Moderator of Friendly Player's forums, Flood Owner, DarkRP Head Administrator, and more. I've also held ranks in Zarp over the years, being Section Moderator, TTT owner, SSRP Administrator, Minigames Moderator, and Deathrun Moderator. With all this experience I am very familiar with the responsibilities and powers given to staff members, and am very eager to hopefully make a positive difference on Zarp's SSRP servers. Lastly, I've really enjoyed playing on the SSRP servers again and want to do my part to make the servers even better, with a personal goal of bringing my experience, enthusiasm, and work ethic to the Lead Team of the server. I've also never received any warnings on the servers.
Thank you for reading.
