Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin: Going through my time as a moderator I have learned how to deal with situations ranging from simple to challenging and difficult ones. I learned to be patient and take my time and to respect everyone no matter the situation, but as a mod it comes with some downsides to it, such as not being able to ban if needed, remove props if needed, and the list goes on. So I think my time as a moderator will contribute to me being a admin because I will be independent and will be able to help in more situations.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user): I had to deal with a massive rulebreaker who was constantly Mass RDMing, Prop Pushing and Racism on Server 3, there were no other staff online at the time except one which was AFK, but that staff was only another moderator, so when I couldn't get someone to ban him and everytime I try to warn him he would leave to avoid the punishment, so I had to keep dealing with it until a higher staff member came on, later a admin came on and finished dealing with the rulebreaker.
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?: "Hello and congratulations on becoming moderator, we welcome you to the ZARP Staff Team, I am AnimePanda and I will be going through all the things you need to know about being a moderator and what to do!"
"So before I go through all the commands and what-not you will need to know that being a moderator comes with a lot of responsibility and patience."
"So the first thing I'm going to go over is if you press F1 you can see that your F1 layout has changed into what's known as the F1 Menu, here we have a list of all the F1's people have made, just a fair warning if you are doing F1's it is advised you change to Mod on Duty to do F1's. Now if you right click on one of the F1's it will have a couple of options for you. Its advised that you handle the latest F1 first and not to skip F1's, so when you right click theres the "Handle This" option which you choose to handle the F1, pretty self explainable, and then theres the "Discard as Spam or Abuse", which is usually used for false F1's and spam. Now once you handle the F1 its always important you Goto them first, and when you handle F1's always take it to a place away from RP (preferably a roof). Theres also the option to bring which brings them to you. Then theres the option to finish the F1 meaning its been taken care of and is done. Last option is Aborting which is usually used if the person is AFK or another staff member has to take care of it."
"Next is the Warnings category which shows all the recent warnings staff have given to players. Next is the Loggings (logs) which is used to show all the players actions and is your best way of finding a certain players actions such as deaths, job changes, arrests and more. All you have to do is type a players name in the search bar to find there actions. To finish the F1 menu there is the Active NLR which shows all the players who have NLR on them, and just a quick tip if you look at a player there NLR shows on them."
"Next up is the F6 menu which shows all the recent punishments, there is a search bar where if you look up a player all there recent punishments will be shown."
"Next up is the commands which will be your most helpful tools to deal with rulebreakers and such."
TELEPORT: If you do /tp you will teleport to wherever your looking at.
GOTO: If you do /goto (SteamID) it will take you to the player, can also be done through the tab menu.
BRING: If you do /bring (SteamID) it will bring the player to you, can also be done through the tab menu.
SLAY: If you do /slay (SteamID) it will kill the player, usually used if person with big gun doesn't put it away, can also be done through the tab menu.
FREEZE: If you do /freeze (SteamID) it will freeze the player, usually used if the person keeps trying to avoid a punishment by running away, can also be done through the tab menu.
MUTE: If you do /mute (SteamID) (Reason) it will mute the player, usually used for mic spammers, racism and disrespect, can also be used in the tab menu. The tab menu has different options that can either mute the player globally or through chat.
UNMUTE: If you do /unmute (SteamID) it will unmute the player, can also be done through the tab menu.
WARN: If you do /warn (SteamID) (Reason) it will give the player a warning for a rulebreak.
UNWARN: If you do /unwarn (SteamID) it will unwarn there warning given to them.
KICK: If you do /kick (SteamID) (Reason) it will kick the player from the server, usually used if no admin is online to ban and that the situation is bad, can also be done through the tab menu.
"To access admin chat you either do /// or @ (message)"
"Thats all you really need to know about all the mod's useful tools, if you ever need help please ask another staff member and they will gladly help you and again congratulations on being apart of our staff team!"
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? "Hello (Player's Name), I see this was your first ban on our server and you wanted to be given a chance to appeal against your rulebreak, we have discussed it with the staff team and have decided to give you another chance, so we will be reducing your ban to a 1 day ban. Please take a moment to read the rules, if you rulebreak there will be consequences as usual. Thank you for your time reading this and have a great day."
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words): I should be promoted to admin because I would be able to help people in many more ways and in a efficient way, I love helping out the community as much as I can and all the players who play among the server's. Among those server's are people who like to take fun away from people's RP, also known as rulebreakers. Among those rulebreakers there are ones that not even a mod can do, such as a Mass RDMer who always leaves when being frozen and joins later to do the same thing they were doing before. That's where a admin is needed to take care of the situation. Which is why I should be admin, I'm a very active player who is always on to help people, and maybe I can make a difference with helping people in much more ways.
