Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario
Player X Randomly attacks Player Y for no apparent reason. Crossfire cannot be used as a reason why it was not RDM. Scenario: Gangster runs over to an innocent citizen and shoots him in the head until he dies, for no reason.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario
"New Life Rule" or NLR is where a player is not allowed back to a certain area of the map for 3 minutes after death. They should forget about everything in their past life or else it is classed as FailRP. Scenario: A group of gangsters is raided by other gangsters in the Warehouse District. The victims of the raid are not allowed back to the Warehouse District for 3 minutes because that would be breaking NLR.
Explain how you would handle the following situation
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would teleport to player X and tell him i'm there for their f1. If player X doesn't say it doesnt matter anymore then i would ask him what happened then if it sounds like i needed to deal with it then i would teleport them both to a roof. I would collect both of their stories of events and start to think about my decision. I would ask player X if he recorded or screenshotted any evidence, (or any other form of evidence). If he has valid evidence i would give play Y a warning and tell them to read the rules. If insufficient evidence is shown then i would give player Y a verbal warning and teleport them both back to where they were, therefore ending the sit. If Y is soon again accused for breaking NLR i would make sure they got a warning.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
I would see the range of time that the kills were, if they were within 3 minutes of each other, I would warn player Y for breaking NLR, but if they aren't then without a really good piece of evidence, i would unfortuantely no be able to do much about the situation. If i can't advance the situation further, i'd verbally warn player Y just to make sure nothing happens in the future. I would then teleport the players back to their original position and end the sit.
Why I should be chosen
I am writing this application to request a spot on the ZARP SSRP Moderator list. Zarps SSRP servers are an enjoyable place to roleplay. However, recently i have noticed an uprise in the amount of rulebreakers hanging out on the servers. All that these players are doing are trying to ruin other legitimate players experience. This is unfair and obviously not tolerated. It seems as though admins and mods are struggling to handle the pressure put on them because of these game-ruiners. Players have been complaining about the "rdmers and rda'ers" and have the attitude of, 'If you can't beat em' join em'.' This leads to a very toxic community and a not enjoyable place to have fun in your spare time. And some players don't just play in their spare time, they play very competitively which makes them even more pissed if they lose their rocket launcher because of some dickhead.
This needs to stop and i believe i would become and valuable member to the team. I am fully aware of the zarp rules and would know how to respond to certain situations. Although i don't have incredible amounts of hours to my name on G'mod, almost all of them are on Zarps SSRP. This means i will not get confused between other servers rules and mess up. I have never been a mod on an SSRP server but I have done my research and am fully aware of all of the commands usable by a Moderator, feel free to test me on it!
I really hope you appreciate my application, because i really want to do my bit to help the Zarp community.
