How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:

Almost four months ago, I first applied for moderator. I was frequently told by other players that it might be in my best interest to become staff because I'd be able to help people like I wanted to. I became admin a week later after doing a pretty high number of F1s and showing general dedication to the role.

I didn't really wanna go any higher at first, but I think applying for this almost two months ago allowed me a little bit of insight into what kind of admin I actually wanna be. In my time as an admin, I've worked diligently to provide for the server in all the ways I possibly can. I haven't had one report about me, and I've tried to learn all I can about the rules and about how they're enforced. I've helped other staff members handle F1's and reports, and I'm one of the few staff members that will refund people if certain circumstances are met and I have the ability to do so.

I haven't always been the most active admin, but I've been focusing more on my role recently and I like knowing I've made a change. I do my events on occasion, including my static event Acts of Kindness, which is basically where I set up a stall and give people something better/more valuable than what they give me.

I always make it a habit to talk to people about ways they can improve, and I'm good at talking to people one on one so I can give them sound advice on how to better themselves if they want to get that ban appeal accepted. I try to be as active as I can on the forums, and I've done a few reports/appeals here and there over the past couple months.

What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):



I will do everything in my power to ensure that rulebreakers never get away with what they're doing, and that repeat offenders are handled accordingly. There have been tricky scenarios where people have deliberately tried to sneak under the radar - just today I had to deal with an odd situation where another staff member had an issue with a ban not working and I was able to sort the issue with the help of that staff member, a super admin, and a great user (Thank you again, Eleven). I have purposely 'dumbed down' my typing so that a person who made an F1 would actually let me handle their report. I have also gone out of Steam entirely to add users just to help them, including adding someone on SnapChat just to assist with a ban issue. There's very little I won't do to help users.



I'm a lenient, caring person and I don't like hurting people. I find that if I can spare someone a ban, I usually will unless there's no alternative. This doesn't mean I won't crack down, it just means I'm willing to be focused and impartial and caring when it comes to people's needs. My philosophy is that everyone deserves to be treated like they're worth something.
I will refund people if they've lost something more often than not, and I'll do my best to make sure that I take every step in the right direction to help people. If I can do it, I probably will.



I'm active on the ZARP servers in the sense that I will usually drop in and do as many F1s as I can, and sometimes I'll stop in to roleplay a little. I don't really base or raid or anything, but I love to play the role of the trader and one of the biggest tells of my activity is the fact that I've dedicated well over a year now to getting all of ZARP's 198 unique items, a feat which I finally achieved yesterday (Sunday 10th June 2017.). When I do my job as admin, there have been detractors, but I do have a fair bit of support and I've had my fair share of having to do F1s entirely on my own, which I will do until they're all gone and someone else can take over.



For the longest time, scamming was legal in ZARP and as such, a lot of players were given free reign to do so - I like to make it known that I'm one of ZARP's most trusted players in this regard, I have never scammed, and even if scamming were allowed again, I wouldn't do it.
I'm one of the few people on ZARP who people will come to when they wanna know honest prices, and I'm a trader who will more often than not, price things way under market value. I've shown people that I can responsibly take care of their needs without breaking any bonds of trust anyone might have. My loyalty to L4GY has shown in the sense that I have dedicated a lot of my personal wealth to it (300-500+ mil).

Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:

I have on occasion, had to deal with hackers and get them banned, and I have actually had to deal with players who have claimed that they haven't gotten perks from Boosters and VIP. This is simply a matter of me assisting in the regards that I walk them through every step and then go out of my way to communicate with a lead team member in regards to purchases.

I have also dealt with moderators who have been accused of abusing their powers, and I've shown that I can handle these situations without them getting out of hand and a report being filed about said moderator. Usually, it's just a matter of me taking them to one side, talking them through it, and ensuring they're appropriately taught how to deal with certain scenarios without them being a bigger issue than they are.

Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:

Assuming the appropriate template was followed and I got to hear the player's side of the story, I would first respond with:
"I'll handle this. I shall speak with Ronald McDonald myself."

If the accusations proved to be correct and we were left to believe that the person in question was abusing their powers, I'd have to take them to one side and talk to them about it in an extensive or brief conversation which would result in me mentoring them for a little while, I'd also respond with:
"This staff member will be spoken about in the lead team meeting after speaking with them and confirming the issue in question. Thank you for your report, we will sort this out appropriately and we do apologise for your unfortunate experience. :Accepted:"

If the staff member in question was not in any trouble as the user was simply being vindictive over a just and right punishment, then I would respond with:
Unfortunately, this report does not meet the criteria of actual abuse, and as we have not found any evidence, we are forced to deny this report. :Denied:

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
Believe me when I say there's a distinct difference between being overtly harsh and just plain ignoring the facts. If a player is banned for an excessive amount of time; I will have to approach that staff member, talk to them about the issue and ask that they personally reduce the ban while directing them to the ethos so that they're made aware of their mistake and that if they have any other questions about the situation, they know that they can just straight up ask any of us.

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?

Definitely a matter of assisting them with it and guiding them in the right direction, there's no shame in being given a bit of a helping hand and I've been through the runnings with that a few times. It's just a matter of talking them through it, making sure that the user is treated fairly, aswell as the staff member, and that everyone leaves the situation knowing that they've been given the best treatment they can muster in the scenario. If it's a situation where it's a simple warn, those can be tricky because some staff members feel the need to flex their muscles and show off so as to give an example to other players. But you don't need to do that, you just need to talk them through it and make sure that they know what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong.

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?

You need to listen to both sides in this situation, so personally; I'd talk to them in whatever medium they're most comfortable talking in, see what proof the accusing staff member can give me, talk it through with the accused and see if they're really as guilty as they're made out to be or if it was just a mistake. If there is proof, then maybe it's a matter of talking it through with that staff member and dependent upon how severe the rule break was, punish them or just make sure they know what was wrong with what they did and maybe give them a bit of a refresher course.
If there's no proof, just talk them both down and make sure that everyone's satisfied with the outcome and maybe keep an eye on the accused for future reference just so that there's no issue.

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?

This is where things get tricky because drama really does not need to be in the staff team but I see it here and there.

Sometimes it's just a matter of taking both the main culprits to one side and letting them hash it out privately while mediating on what the actual issue might have been. Then if they don't calm down, it's a matter of making sure that both parties take a break from one another, and that if it keeps up, they'll know that they're part of a staff team that needs to work together and if it doesn't, then there's no point in them being a part of it. If they really have an issue, they can bring it up elsewhere, but it's not for this server, and they need to make sure that they remember that when they're doing their duties.

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?

Now this is where things really start to get hectic, because this is a sensitive situation where people can play the blame game, lie, cheat, and feel the need to just go nuts as per their survival instinct. No-one likes being told off, and more often than not, if I have to bring a staff member to one side to tell them that what they're doing is wrong - they're not gonna enjoy it. I'd get them on TeamSpeak, have them talk about what's going on, and tell them to back down because it is unacceptable behaviour. I will also bring it up in the lead team meeting as it's obviously gonna be a major issue regardless, and then I'll tell them that if they don't stop, they'll have their rank taken completely.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
I just wanna go on record to say thank you for reading my Super Admin application, and I hope you enjoyed it.
I also feel the need to say that some people may expect me to participate on TeamSpeak more, to this I have to say that I'm struggling with Social Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and my own issues that make it very difficult for me to really tune in and speak my mind. I fight against it every day, and this is why I'm not much of a talker on my mic. Humour is my best outlet, and I guess that's why a lot of when I talk is mostly just me joking around. I will let you guys know that even without my voice, I am a capable staff member and I know what's right, and I will enforce everything I can to the best of my ability.

Father Waston...
You've not applied for a while, not that it matters that much. At first when I saw you applying I was kinda shocked, I never really looked back at you as an admin onto becoming a super admin but it has certainly made me open my eyes a bit more. We've been talking for quite some time now, from when you left till you came back and since then every day forward. You've supported me all the way from becoming an SA to the great leap to becoming a Head Admin, and that certainly meant a lot to me.

You're always there when I need to ask you something (how weird it may be) and you always do your best to help out and generally talk with me whenever I am bored. To be honest, I don't see many negatives but I can give you a few tips which you might try to improve but it won't change my outcome anyway. I'll list them below as this piece of text is becoming way too long.

Dedicated
Nice
Helpful in most situations
Has a good taste of music (Not really important but meh)
Would be an outstanding canidate.
Always been there when needed.
Does want to spend the time to actually help out.

As far as I am aware never casues issues, for ANYONE

Father Watson has given many hours to zarp this proven from the astonishing inventory he has, with those hours built he's built trust and friendships with many users, I've know Watson for a while and I can't think of one thing bad about the guy! he's always willing to help out and give advice and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's thought that he genuinely cares about the community and the server and he fits the role of super admin perfectly, it's only fair that a person like Watson gets something back from the server/community that he's put so much time and effort into, he's got his head screwed on properly and is very mature which fits the super admin role, he also goes out and engages with the community which most people don't do enough of.

Would be amazing to see Watson gets this rank!

You know, I will admit that I'm not always the most vocal in meetings for the reason I listed at the bottom - but I will say that I've attended every meeting for the last 5-6 weeks. I've been late to a couple, though. That said, I'm appreciative of the feedback and I will try to be more attentive and present during meetings.
