How would you handle the following situations?
Situation #1
'A Super Administrator started a fight with another Super Administrator.'
A conflict in the Lead Team is never a good thing, as we're supposed to stop conflicts within the staff team. To make sure these conflicts don't happen too often and everyone feels they're treated fairly I'd get as many Lead Team members as possible together to discuss the situation. I'd first try to make sure that everyone feels at ease and that they understand the situation can easily be resolved by talking about it.
Firstly I'd get the Super Administrator that started the fight (and most likely accused the other Super Administrator of something) to explain his side of the story. I'd make sure that nobody speaks through the story until it is finished. Once the Super Administrator is done I'd get the other Super Administrator to tell his side of the story.
It is usually a misunderstanding or a matter conflicting opinions, but most of the time it should not escalate to the point where it could harm the staff team as a whole. If the conflict does heat up despite there being multiple Head Administrators and higher to deal with the matter I'd get the two Super Administrators in seperate spacers to get them to cool down.
In the end I'll give my own opinion on the matter and who I believe is right or wrong. Depending on what the outcome is and how the Super Administrators behaved themselves I may or may not bring either both, one or none of them up in the next Head Administrator meeting to discuss a demotion.
Situation #2
'A Super Administrator reports another Head Administrator to you.'
First and foremost I'd get a Server Owner online to help me with the situation as I cannot handle a report abuse on a Head Admin (on my own). I'd first get the Super Administrator in a seperate spacer to explain his side of the story and after that I'd try to contact the Head Administrator to see if he is available.
If he is I'd discuss what happened with him and ask him what he believes actually happened. Depending on how urgent the situation is I might ask help from other Lead Team members too.
In the end I'd come to a solution that I personally believe is both fair to the Super Administrator and the Head Administrator. If the Head Administrator did something wrong I'd make that very
very clear and if the Super Administrator falsely or wrongly accused the Head Administrator I'd explain to him how he should handle the situation the next time.
Situation #3
'A user reports another Lead Team member on the forums'
If a user reported a Lead Team member on the forums then that should not be taken lightly. After all, the Lead Team is there to stop conflicts and ensure that users have a good time playing the gamemode. If they fail to do so then clearly something went wrong somewhere.
Firstly I'd look at the evidence provided by the user. If the user did not provide any evidence I'd tell them that they have 24 hours to update their report with whatever evidence they may or may not have.
Even if the user does not provide any evidence I'd still discuss the situation with the Lead Team member in question. Although the report will almost definitely be denied I'd still like to hear the Lead Team member's side of the story to see if they maybe did actually make a mistake that they never realized.
In the end I'd come to a conclusion that's fair to the staff member but most importantly a conclusion that the user could agree with. If a Lead Team member made a mistake I'll make it clear to the user that the Lead Team member has been spoken to about the matter.
Why do you believe you'd be a good candidate for the Head Administrator rank?
From the start I have shown
dedication to the Prophunt server. I had tried my best to ensure that it would become a great server and I do feel like that dedication has paid off. Even now I'm still thinking about ways the server could be improved and how it could benefit from new additions.
I'm also fair to everyone, always keeping an
open mind about practically everything. If someone gets into an unnecessary conflict with someone else I will not judge them for doing so but I will instead teach them how they should act the next time. I will try to avoid conflict wherever I can and believe everything can be solved through talking.
I am a kind and
heartloving person and believe that everyone can be better than what they currently are. Everyone is a great person inside, although some people don't think so of themselves, they just need to find it first.
(cringe warning) it is also for this reason that my custom TeamSpeak icon is a tree: to symbolise growth.
My aspiration is to always do my
best and help people to the best of my ability, even if it might seem unnecessary or like too much effort. I am also a trusted staff member in the community and besides being a Super Administrator on Prophunt I'm also a Super Administrator on TTT.
Extra Information:
Last week I applied for Prophunt HA but decided to revoke my application because I did not believe I was ready.
I believe I am ready now. I didn't get my activity in the past week (I did make an inactivity thread and I had my own private reasons) but I'll make up for that this coming week.
