Well, its alot. I've got 2500 hours of garrys mod so atleast 500 hours. Could be up to 1000.
Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
My past weeks of mod have shown that i am both hard working and willing to help others when doing my job. I've been learning from my mistakes and building apon them to become a better staff member. I spend alot of time trying to catch rule breakers so users can have a better experience. I've also shown that i can deal with all situations because i have been involved in a wide range of sits and handled them well.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around
(EG: defiant user):
I've had many times when people are being defiant in a sit, one such time is when hellforce broke raid timer and i could see the logs that he had killed people in the base before, yet i kept it cool and didnt want to cause an argument and since the user who was reporting him had claimed he had evidence i decided just to wait until the evidance was given so i could see more clearly. He continued to maintain his innocence for 20 minutes until i reviewed the footage and warned him.
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the
full grasp?:
Want to help users and stop rule breakers? Good. Well first of all you need to have no recent punishments yourself.
Alright now you can apply, make sure your application is fancy and well thought out so it stands out from the rest. Once you've done that, wait untill the meeting. Its at 7pm on Saturdays. You've been accepted? Great. Time to Hop in game and train you. When you are moderator you have an f1 menu that allows you to see logs, warnings, active nlr and active f1s. When you want to handle an f1 right click and handle it, then goto the player. Now, most of the time you will need to deal with rulebreakers when you see them so you can freeze players by going on the tab menu and clicking on the player and you will see the options to kick, freeze, ect. When you do f1s they should be done on a roof which is out of RP so you avoid any killings (like hits). Being a mod is not easy So remember that your fellow staff members and lead team are here to help you if you even need it or have any questions.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for
propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
My first response would be thanking him for making the time and effort with an appeal, and i would most likely unban him because he has put a great deal of effort in his appeal showing that he is willing to play properly again. Also considering its his first ban it would make it more likely since hes quite a new player.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words):
I think i should be promoted because i've shown my hard work and commitment to everyone, and I've done my best to learn everything i need to know about being a staff member. I also have been talking alot with higher staff members whenever i have an issue and i fix apon it before it happens so i dont make stupid mistakes. I do quite a lot of f1s and try and hover around and help players whenever i can, i also try and be a friendly as possible to everyone to keep the good image up that the rest of the staff team has. I think that being admin will allow me to do my job better and make me a better staff member.
