Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.
It has been a long time since I have been a moderator, and I still remember the struggles that moderators have to go through. I have handled multiple situations in my past, each of which you learn from and helps to improve your overall staffing ability. I'd like to think that I was a good staff member and could continue to do that, this experience comes from being a staff member is vital and help you learn. For example being a moderator you learn how to punish people and the basics of the community and staffing. My time as a moderator taught me a lot and was very beneficial to my staffing career, and I believe helped me to further improve within the community.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
There is one prominent situation that occurred on sever 1, when there wasn't an admin online . There was a rule breaker who was constantly RDM'ing people and when he was brought to a sit he would attempt to leave. I had already warned him on two separate occasions for RDM and NLR. But being a moderator there wasn't much I could do, when he was kicked for being warned to often he would just re-join. So when an admin joined I requested his assistance and we handled the situation. I have never seen the rule breaker after that incident as I don't think that he was on the server to Role Play.
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
Congratulations on becoming a staff member.
First lets get you used to your new commands;
1.
/tp [Teleports you to your cross-hair location]
2.
/tp {Player Name} [Teleports the player to your cross-hair location]
3.
/freeze {Player Name} [Freezes the selected player]
4.
/unfreeze {Player Name} [Unfreezes the selected player]
5.
/warn {Player Name/Steam ID} {Reason} [This warns the selected player for the reason provided, it's best to use Steam ID so you don't warn the wrong player]
6.
/unwarn {Player Name/Steam ID} {Reason} [This unwarns the selected player for the reason provided, again it's best to use Steam ID]
7.
/back [Returns yourself to your previous location before telepoting]
8.
/back {Player Name} [Returns the selected player to their previous location before teleporting]
9.
/backspawn {Player Name} [Returns the selected player to spawn]
10 .
/goto {Player Name} [Takes you to the selected player]
11.
/kick {Player Name/Steam ID} [Kicks the selected player from the game]
Your can handle F1's by pressing F1 then right clicking on the submitted F1, this will give you a menu that allows you to handle the F1 and then go to the player that has submitted it. When finished the F1 you can right click and 'Mark As Finished' this will mark the F1 as finished. All previous commands are available in the TAB menu when clicking on a players name. Also in the TAB menu you can find a players Steam ID, so you can warn them or do what is required. You can also press F6 to view the rapsheet, which shows peoples recent punishments on the server, by either searching or using the available drop down menu.
Have fun moderating the ZARP servers.
I believe it's evident that I can train staff members as seen by the vast amount of staff members that I have trained in my time, ranging from mod to super admin training's this shows that I can train staff members and have full knowledge of the commands on the server.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Firstly it seems that you have changed and that you do regret doing what you have done. Because of this I have decided to shorten your ban to 2 weeks. But please be mindful that I will be closely monitoring you in game when you return, and that if you haven't changed there will be consequences.
ACCEPTED
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words).
I feel that I should be promoted to admin for a few reasons. Firstly I'm an extremely trusted member of the community, and extremely experience, having held server owner on 2 servers a long with having head admin on SSRP for a very long time. I have put a lot of dedication into the community, which has been shown by my achievements within the community. I have been within the community for a long time, and only had a short break of around 2 months. This break has had little effect on my knowledge of the rules and ability to staff on the server. As many know, I believe I was a good staff member, one for the fairest in fact, always following the ethos. I feel that the ethos is vital in staffing and allows people to learn without being punished for lack or knowledge. Many people know that I have been a dedicated staff member and I aim to continue this hard working ethic that was vital as being a staff member. I also know how the community works, having detailed knowledge of the lead team systems and the overall community workings. As mentioned being an owner on 2 serves shows that I can be trusted to return. To conclude, I believe that I have the qualities to be an admin, and believe that even though my activity may be lacking, I am trusted and have been actively playing over the past 6 days and have shown that I can be a great staff member.
Thank You for Considering My Application.
