Example: A player has been mass-RDM’ing and was warned, but continues to ignore the warnings while disrespecting a staff member, and when the case is about to be handled, the player then leaves the server. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? I would first contact the staff member who banned them in the first place to gain a better overview of the case, and in case I find a possibility of improvement, I would allow the player to return to the server. This time however on a zero tolerance policy for a limited time, which could mean that a single warning within the first month would be enough for the player to regain his ban on the server. Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):. Ever since I joined the staff team around a month ago, I have done my best to handle reports as frequently and as good as possible, thereby helping reduce the amount of RDM, harassment and other types of rulebreaking. Besides being an active staff member, I also do my best to come to as many staff meetings as possible and come with the best feedback I can to applications as well as user requests on the forum. In the future, I wish to improve my activity on the forums to make a better use of my skills in photoediting and general computing by helping fellow community members with their problems both ingame and in general. I see myself as very fair staff member, as I usualy review cases very carefully to make sure I understand the situation completely, which explains the high amount of cases I’ve closed compared to the amount that have ended in a punishment. I rarely punish players for misunderstandings, and make sure to remind these players about the rules in these situations, as I find punishment only brings anger, while a friendly conversation usually leads to a better and friendlier community, which is why see myself as a diplomatic person.
